Hypothetical: You have unlimited funds - Where would you stay?

I would choose the Contemporary Presidential Suite during the 2nd week in December. I was involved in that WPASADI game and our final challenge involved being a travel agent planning a $35,000 Dreams Unlimited vacation that a hypothetical family had won.
Here's a link to my project.......if you scroll through it, you can see pics of the Presidential Suite.

......I came in 3rd and won an iPod and Disney gift certificate, but dh and I are ending up going on our own WDW vacation in two months! And no..... we're only staying at CBR. :lmao:

My "dream trip" would be at Christmas time thru to New Years with the whole family! And I would love to be in a 2 bedroom at WLV or Boardwalk Villas..just one big happy family! I think it would be amazing to see WDW all decked out in its holiday finery....and to spend the happiest time of the year in the Happiest Place on Earth with all those I love would be a holiday that couldn't be surpassed!

Just a fun little hump-day hypothetical. Imagine you had money to burn and could afford to stay at any resort, in any room/suite on the WDW property (excluding the castle suite as that's not available for reservations) - post your dream Disney vacation. When would you go? Which resort would you pick and which room or suite would you stay in? How long would you stay (realistically)? Would you switch resorts partway through the trip?

Also, if you want to throw in some other luxuries (either restaurants and/or excursions) that you'd treat yourself to, that'd be ok too :)

1 week AKL Presidential Suite
1 Week Yacht Club Admirals Suite
1 week Polynesian King Kamehameha Suite
1 week in Cinderella's Castle Royal Suite (hey, if I had UNLIMITED funds, I could "convince" them to rent it to me or just buy a majority share in the company and MAKE them rent it to me).

Right now, I'd book the Boardwalk Inn Garden Suites.

We've always wanted to stay there.

:tink: Ok I really Love that I found this Disney site!!! This is great!
I live in Cali and we have Aps for Disneyland but have been to Florida for the first time ever in August 2006!!! We won a trip there via a McDonalds sweepstakes!!!!!....Boy they should have thrown in the money for life time visits to DW because I am hooked!!! Love Disneyland but Love Disney World even more!!!
We are even thinking about moving to Florida just so we can go there all the time!!
Next we will be joining DVC at the end of 2008 but have another trip already book for Dec 2008 to DW and we are staying at the AKl....WOOOOO HOOOOO Can't wait!
Our first trip we stayed at the Boardwalk Villas!!! Loved it ther and would say to stay there as well!!! I really just think it all depends on what type of mood in your surroundings you are looking to have during your stay! With so many choices it makes you feel that you had a couple of months to burn up because then you could go and stay a week at each of the Deluxe and Villa resorts! Can you tell I like the deluxe and villa stays??

Anyhow for anyone needing advise on where to stay for a Disnyland (California stay) Hands down it's DGC (Disney's Grand Californian)
Best place ever and they really treated us like celebs.
Anyhow I am going to go and surf around and try to figure out how to get all my stats to show up in my sig area and ten put a pic on the side for my user name because now that I found this site I will be posting very often!

Oh and one quick thing I thought I might ask to some of you WDW veterans......we are staying at the AKL next year and I wanted to know if the quick serve meal place called The Mara is any good?

I have a daughter who was diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder just months ago called Celiac and she has been so sick and lost 20lbs over the summer and the big part of this disorder is that her diet has been very much so altered for life in that she cannot have the protien Gluten found in so many of the foods out on the market and in many other products as well or she gets very ill and her immune system attacks her digestive system and destroys it so that her body can no longer absorb the nutrients form any foods (that is why her weight loss)
Anyhow sorry for the long book on that but we have realized that going out is going to become very difficult for us because of how many foods she can no longer have nor can she have te kind of foods she can have if they were cooked on or prepared in something that was previously used to make items that contain this protien.
So do any of you know what AKL or DWW is like as far as helping those with this kind of dietary need so that my daughter does not become as she calls it glutinized during our stay and feel very ill for entire time???
Thanks for that info if anyone has it.
Well glad to meet you all and find this board.....TTFN!:tigger:
You will be seeing me around often!

Welcome to DIS poohbear. I'm a fellow Californian who spent tons of time at Disneyland only to discover WDW. It's been many years now but the love has not diminished at all. We bought our first DVC after our 3rd trip and then added on once and am in the process of adding on again. It's great to be able to get that Disney fix out here on the Disboards.

I don't know about Mara at AKL but the buffet place, BOMA, is one of our favs and we must eat there every trip. We also like JIKO a lot too.

And you will love DVC. Our kids are all grown now but DVC offers us so much flexibility. It's an investment that grows with your family so that even when you are empty nesters, you still have a place to call home but can also get the bigger condos and take the kids/grandkids like we do now.

We would stay 2 weeks
1st week BW suite
2nd Week Poly suite
all the time on the platium plan
first 2 weeks of December

Oh, this is FUN!!

Ok, so if money were no object...I would stay Concerge at AKL for 10 days...eat at V&A and treat my mom to California Grill....do a Behind The Scenes tour...see Cirque Du Solei...and take my BFFs, my mom, my aunt, my uncle, and my grandpa...then we'd do a week on the Magic...

Although, if I had enough money to do this (plus eat and shop) I would buy DVC!

My dream vacation is for a Magical Gathering. All the extended family, but w/ each family unit in separate hotels. (I love family, but can only stand so much of a good thing).

We would stay Concierge level at either AKL or Poly

2 weeks beach club followed by 1 week poly.:thumbsup2

Definitely the Poly...although..I think my mom would say otherwise. If it were up to here, she'd demand we went to the GF. It's been a dream of hers for years.

Oh fun, let's go for two weeks in December right before Holiday season picks up. We'd stay the entire time at that one amazing King suite at Animal Kingdom that they featured on the travel channel.

We would
-go on every tour we could find
-eat at every table service resteraunt we could
-spend time at the spas
-have a town car w/ chauffer (he'd have his own room down the hall)
-eat lots of room service while staying in the room and acting like adults who are kids at heart (we're DINKS)

I cant resist.......Im doing my dream vacation!
I don't have unlimited funds, just worked damn hard for this.
We cant wait!! Lagoon View Concierge at the Poly. during holiday season, heaven.   :santa:

-5 days at Beach Club, two bedroom suite
-5 days at the Grand Floridian, two bedroom suite
-5 days at AKL, two bedroom suite

all on the all-inclusive plan, of course. I would do this in December, but would love a 10 day trip during Food and Wine, regular concierge room at BWI for just DH and I also!
for fun, you can go to www dot suite disney(all one word, though) dot com (I can't post the link on the dis for some reason), on the left upper corner, click on WDW photos, then scroll down to WDW Suite Photos.

Oh what a lark this thread is!

Ok.. wow.. if I had UNLIMITED FUNDS...

I'd go for four weeks. Platinum Plan.

One week at Grand Floridian, Concierge/Club Level, MK View.

One week at Polynesian, Concierge /Club Level, MK View.

One week at Contemporary Concierge/Club Level, MK View.

One week at Beach Club, Concierge/Club Level (do they have Epcot views?)

We'd have a nanny for the kids.. shopping sprees at DTD, the whole nine yards.

Oh what a slice of heaven! :cloud9:

(realistically, if I could do one week at ANY of these, it would be a dream! LOL Me= poor!)
