My little guy was born with this, and I had to make an appt. for him to see a pediatric urologist at nemours . He doesn't go till Jan. Anyone familiar with this? I read it occurs in 1 out of 125 newborn males. Thanks, Eileen

I've never heard of it, but I'll add your little boy to my prayer list. I hope it's easily treated whatever it is.

I have twin DS's, and one of them had hypospadias and was operated on by a pediatric urologist when he was a year old and and then again a year later when he was two. He is fine now at age 12. He did very well with both surgeries, the first one they kept him overnight, and the next operation we were able to take him home that day. It was very upsetting for DH and me that he had to have surgery. I do remember that we took him to the pediatric urologist when he was a few months old, but then we were told that they don't do the surgery until they are about a year old. You can PM me with any questions you might have.
