Hyperventilated!

It gets boring after a while though...

I hate gym.
When we run, I either go home or whine all day.
When we do circuit training, I whine all day.
We do circuit training & running every two or three weeks.
 
Thanks for all your support. My mom is really mad that the office didn't call her.

This was during volleyball practice which is basically the same thing. We were doind warm ups. When we don't practice volleyball we just "excercise" all period. Normally we run for 10 minutes straight or to 500 jump ropes among other things.

I'm sorry that happened to you.

It's happened to me before as well, when I did this big set and I was the first one to finish the whole set. I was happy and got out of the pool and started having trouble breathing. Then I was breathing over and over again really fast, and I couldn't breathe at all really. So like, a bunch of parents got up and were patting my back telling me to take deep breathes. It was scary and finally I could breathe.
 

I can't be sure, but that sounds to me like an asthma attack. I developed asthma in Grade 6; asthma sometimes doesn't even appear until you are an adult.

I suggest you ask your doctor for a referral, so you can have a chest x-ray; I had a chronic cough for almost a year before I had a chest x-ray, and when I did they discovered a spot on one of my lungs that turned out to be asthma. You will need an inhaler as soon as possible if it turns out to be asthma, because some attacks can be really serious if you don't use one.

It could also be a panic attack, I have had those a few times too. They are so sudden that you can't even predict when you will get one, even if you aren't under sudden strain you could have a panic attack.

I think you need gym class. Its healthy IF they're doing it right. And "right" doesn't involve running me until the room spins (she did this on the FIRST day of class, I had to go lay down. I was dehydrated.)
 
I'm out of shape, I know that. I'm skinny, but I'm not in shape for doing sports. I have low stamina and such. I don't participate much in gym anyways.
I need to live in a place where it doesn't freeze over completely in the winter. I get most of my exercise in the summer and spring. I'm able to enjoy walks, and such. Winter, is spent indoors. Over winter break I went an entire week indoors, not going out for anything.
 
In our school, if you are absent for a gym class, you have to make the class up during one of your frees. It is horrible!
 
Yep it's gym. And I always drink around 1 1/2 of water every practice. I don't know...

I asked the nurse "My gasp mom gasp call gasp gasp call her gasp!" And she was like "Oh dear, I don't think thats a very good idea. Perhaps you should just breathe deeper."

???

If she didn't notice, you could bearely breathe, and she's telling you to breathe deeper???:mad: :sad2:

We don't have to run if we miss anything...My main worry is Presidential Fitness aka Death. Running a mile in under 9 minutes. Haha, that's hilarious.

Yoah that's almost impossible.

Well I was supposed to go to the doctor today, but my mom had to reschedule it til tommorrow. She talked to the school today and they said that they thought calling my mom was pointless. POINTLESS? I was sucking the paper bag dry! Watev! My mom is going to have a meeting with the principal on Monday. I'll tell you what the doctor says tommorrow. :)

I can walk a mile in 15 without breaking a sweat. I'm sure I can run one in 9.

Push ups...Me either.

I can touch my toes though. :p No one else in my Gym Class can. I feel accomplished.
 
I'm pretty flexible. I hate running though. Tahts why I like volleyball. Not much running required!

When I used to do karate they made us run around the room like 10 times, do 15 pushups and situps and do practice kicks.

I liked when we did the warm-up though because after I went home and relaxed I felt better; more enegetic and up beat. Excerise can be good for you. ;)
 
i just read the first page of responses but.

since i have sports induced asthma (no idea the technical name) but that's not really a big thing for me. like yeah i kinda freak out but i know how to make it go away now without my inhaler. so idk i guess it's a skill i posess??

but yeah i think the nurse should have called your mom. i agree it could have been a lawsuit, when really your mom really just wanted to know.

I used to cheat sometimes and do the "girly" push-ups, the ones you do on your knees. Nobody ever seemed to notice except my friends, who would tease me for it.

Just out of curiosity, who comes up with these levels we're supposed to be able to perform at? A mile in under 9 minutes? I mean seriously, who sets a standard like that and expects people to reach it?
