Hyatt Orange County Shuttle questions

we are booked at the Hyatt OC for our Disney stay in May - going to the parks Sunday - Tuesday. on tripadvisor i have read about how "great" this shuttle is.

if you have stayed here and used the shuttle can you tell me more....is there a cost? what time does it start running? do you need to make reservations for it? is it strictly a shuttle used for the Hyatt hotel? does the schedule change? is the shuttle often full and you need to wait - however long - for the next one?

I'll throw in my experience, but have to say that we have not stayed there in a few years. I know since then they have added a small fee to use the shuttle - there have been several threads lately about the exact cost, so you might want to do a search for those.

I don't recall how early the first shuttle was, but it ran every half hour each way and the last shuttle was an hour (I think) after park closing time. You did not have to make a reservation - just show up! There was only one time we rode it when the shuttle was full - and that was just after fireworks. We had to wait a long while for that one. I would suggest either driving for fireworks or staying in the parks for another hour if possible to avoid the mad rush. Other than that, the shuttle was always on time and the ride to and from the parks was pretty quick.

Was just at Hyatt in December. It picks up from hotel at the 15 and 45 of every hour. Drops off at parks at the 30 and top of the hour. It was very reliable and ran about an hour after closing as was stated. The shuttle is $5 per day per person. Kids 9 and younger ride free.
