Hyatt Luggage Transfer

We found out the hard way that if you book your pre-cruise stay with Hyatt direct you
no longer get the free luggage transfer to the ship service. You only get it if you book your Hyatt room with DCL. Paid luggage handler $10 to take my luggage to the truck near the busses to be taken to the port.

no longer get the free luggage transfer to the ship service. You only get it if you book your Hyatt room with DCL. Paid luggage handler $10 to take my luggage to the truck near the busses to be taken to the port.

You still get it, but you have to let Disney know you are staying there beforehand. It has to be prearranged.

Indeed. DCL now provides a manifest of participating rooms and personalized letters for each room, so you can’t just show up at the Hyatt and request the DCL luggage service like you used to. They made the change in fall 2018 I believe.

If you book the Hyatt through DCL, it will be automatically added to your reservation. If not, you need to call DCL at least 3 days before your stay to get them to add the mention on your reservation.
