husband so slow to decide

my husband and I want to buy a resale. well I do more than him! But whenever I find a great contract on the tss he always needs to think about it then its gone.
There was one on sunday, and it was a great deal (like 400 banked points), DH said lets go for it.... but said lets put an offer in monday! that Sunday night there was a sale pending and now its completly gone!
he says there will always be a deal. i guess he is right, but it shows you gotta act fast on some of these deals! especially where there are banked points available!
Will I ever be a DVC owner!

I am where you are. DH and I were talking about it. We both love Disney but I am the freak. So I have been talking about it for a couple of years now. I called around 7pm tonight just to get the numbers from Disney. If we purchase 200 pts at AKV then we get 200 pts free for this year. (current incentive since we were referred by friends) So by Dec(our use yr)2009 we would have 400 pts. Yep that is 400 points for THIS DECEMBER!!

OK, that is awesome in and of itself....then he started throwing around the point possibilties for our upcoming trip that we have paid in full in Oct. We are currently booked at Pop for 10/28-11/06 with the DDP--about $2400. Well with our free 200 points we could get 2 AKV studios-one for us and one for MIL......talk about a step up......alright if we borrow 60 points from the 200 we get in Dec 09.....we get studio with a Savannah View

DH was really stoked at that point and I actually caught a sparkle in his eye. We will have to talk to MIL about changing her ressies....but I don't think she would mind Wish me luck that we purchase soon.

I will kinda agree with your DH that it is absolutely a buyer's market, and there are sooooo many great resales out there. You should absolutely wait and find the *perfect* contract for your situation. It sounds like the one that was available on Sunday was very sweet, but you will find others that also fit the bill -- just keep looking. Also, you might want to think about getting in touch with a salesman at one of the resale brokers so you can give him/her an idea of what type of contract you are looking for so you can get first dibs on what becomes available. You will get there, and we'll be welcoming you home in no time. Happy shopping!!

just buy smaller contracts so you can sell them easier. Sounds like the one you lost was at least a 400 pt contract

I have used the Timeshare Store to both buy and sell. If you contact them (as well as many of the other brokers), they will put you on their email list. You will get daily listings and may be able to act on one before it shows up "sale pending"!

I believe you can also share with them what you are looking for and they will keep an eye out for you!
