Husband oddities( or s o )

My DH does the laundry and not very well:eek:
He just enjoys doing it so I hide the things that need extra care and sneek in and wash them myself.;)

He also does the grocery shopping. He has it down to a science. We have a grocery chain that runs promotions where they have an item you can get if you purchase $40.00 worth of groceries 13 out of 16 weeks (something like that). He has two different ID's. One for us and one for his Mother as he shops for her as well.

I've been BANNED from ever shopping as I impulse shop and run over the $40.00 or I don't get beef when chicken is on sale - or drats worse of all, I forget to get the receipt.

This has worked to my advantage - I am looking for other things to do wrong. Cynsaun - Thanks for the idea - I might vacumn my dog's tail this weekend.

My DH loves to cook - I don't, my meals are the easy to prepare or throw in a microwave/oven type!

He does all the other things you mentioned, ironing, cleaning, sewing and he hates watching sport on TV.

He has a soft spot for ::MinnieMo eversince she flirted with him! :p

Well, my hubby only does the outdoor cooking. His idea of cleaning is to hide clutter in drawers or cabinets. He will do laundry, but I have to say not well. And he puts everything in the dishwasher, so I have to take care of the non-dishwasher-safe items if I want to keep them safe. I think he subscribes to that theory of "If I mess up, she won't expect me to do it anymore."
Yard care is generally his thing. Sometimes I do it if I have the day off and I want some sunshine. Or if it can't wait 'til the weekend. He takes care of the car.

I guess the oddest thing my DH does is gardening although I don't think that's really too odd. We have really pretty flowers in our front and backyards as well as some vegetables. DD gardens with him so it's really cute to see the 2 of them. I hate gardening so it's nice he'll do it.

DH does everything around the house and with the kids..I am like the most spoiled wife ever.

He used to get up with me at 4:30 am for work so he could iron my uniforms. He is weird!

I never got up with my kids when they were babies. I NEVER wash dishes (YUCKY!)

I told ya I was spoiled!

I do all my own laundry, and even DW will admit that I'm a much better cook than she is.......But I'm terrible at cleaning the house (or, at least, that's what I have DW convinced of, and I see no reason to disillusion her ;) )

Oh, and DW would probably mow the lawn if I didn't insist we hire it done....I would do it, but I kinda like breathing (freshly mown grass tends to send me into allergy attacks...plus I really do HATE cutting grass)...

OK, the only 'odd' thing my DH does is call me at least once a week from the other 'office'.

and he gives me a curtesy flush before hanging up.

thank god I don't use my speakerphone at work.

DH cleans and does the litter boxes..he does leave laundry and cooking to me tho.

It works for us...he's a keeper ::yes::

My DBF loves cooking and cleaning. He also loves home goods stores. And getting dressed up. He hates sports.

He doesn't care for sports other than hockey. He cleans the bathroom (including the toilet) because he says there's no reason why I should have to clean up his sprinkles. He can cook, although I usually do most of it because I love to cook. He does laundry. He vacuums. He calls me just to say hi. He fusses over me when I'm sick.

We have two cross stitching that hang in our bathroom. DH did both. I was doing one he wanted to have interest in what I was doing Whala. he enjoyed it. He also cooks does laundry sometimes helps clean. I'm blessed.
On the flip side I clip hedges mow lawns, rake, have been known to fix a toilet or two, fix a washing machine, dryer.
I think now adays it's more of a partnership. We try to get involved in each others lives and help each other. We usually enjoy spending time together no matter what it is.
::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

ps he even got me hooked on Disney. I hadn't gone until our wedding 21 yrs ago.

thanks guys, you all are definately making me feel a lot better about being a stay at ahome dad,, and being unable to help dwin the ways i did before, its hard to take a type a person and take all forms of work away from tehm:)

My boyfriend is like that. He loves to cook and he's a neat freak and he does laundry...he even does mine and knew how to get certain stains out:eek:
He isn't a big fan of pro-sports.
I love it. It is great for me...as I don't cook and I am not that clean and I don't like doing laundry :)

DH doesn't watch sports either. I am a much bigger sports fan than him.

DH gets the girls ready every morning. This morning he took them to "Daddy's salon" and put their hair up in pig tails and pony tails.
