My DH, DD and I became DVC members in May 2009 with our purchase of BLT. DH joined DIS in May and is tired of me telling him what to write on his threads. I know, how rude of me.
We are looking forward to two vacations: December at SSR and March for a split BLT/AKL. Booked the December trip right after joining and can honestly say I had second thoughts about DVC. We booked right at our 7 month window and all the resorts I wanted were not available. Booking for early March was a different story -booked the places I wanted. Planning each trip a little different based on location. We will see La Nouba in Dec since we're so close to DTD and will save Chef Mickey's and Animal Kingdom park until March trip.
I do love the mouse. I've been to WDW 8 times, Disneyland 2 times and have gone on one disney cruise. My DVC membership will ensure I have many more trips in the future.

We've stayed at SSR in December twice and it is very pretty there. Feels homey and comfy. I want to go back and spend the holidays there again!!

I cannot even imagine my DH joining the DIS. He makes fun of me for posting here every opportunity he gets. I tell him, if it weren't for the DIS I probably wouldn't have let him buy me DVC.

Welcome! We have made reservations at the 7 month timeline without problems-December is a very busy DVC month, however. You will love AKV-we just returned a week ago from a wonderful stay-also spent two days at SSR and liked it very much.

Have fun on both trips...December is wonderful, and since my Spring Break is also in March, we're going then too!

Look at the "Sharing Christmas tree thread" maybe you can sign up for an SSR tree! We've had one, sent one for about 5 years so far. This year we're sending a VWL tree!

Thanks for the tip. I definitely will stay on the line and try to get my daughters picks. I have days I would prefer to go to certain restaurants but there is lots of flexibility in our disney itinerary so hopefully it will all work out.
