What do you do when the person you are married to doesn't feel the Disney magic?
His response to "Do you want to go to Disneyland before you deploy (soon)" was, and I quote: "I want to go so we can spend time together as afamily, but I don't wanna pay 60 bucks just to be bored all day *gasp*
I don't get him at all!

My answer: Book it! My husband didn't understand why I love Disneyland so much (it's just a theme park, it's too expensive) but I begged and begged to be able to go, and now that it's booked and official, he's actually excited!

I think once he goes, he'll see how much fun he's having with the family, and he'll be able to feel the Disney magic. I hope he turns around and enjoys your trip!

I go without him. Really, he came on one trip, was cranky and miserable the whole time, paid extra to fly home early and the whole family was miserable. We visit Disney parks without him (and with my extended family) and do other things all together as a family.

Ha Ha my husband is like that. Sooooo I waited until he was deployed and went. I took the kids and had a wonderful time. He is so grumpy the last time we went to Disneyland we bought a tee shirt that had grumpy on it and gave it to him when we got back. When I was makeing ressie for him to go with us one time he was so bad that when I was speaking to the people at DH the person on the phone heard him. She said she had his number and that she knew that she could make him have a good time and she did. She even gave us the phone number so he can play golf and told him that she herself would go to the hotel pool and put his name on a chair for him to enjoy his self. He did enjoy that trip.

My DH used to be that way, too. I kept booking WDW trips and we kept going and going for years and now he has been bitten by the Disney bug! :thumbsup2 He loves it as much as I do. (well, almost ;) ) He is now listening to the Walt Disney bio CDs b/f to work and telling me all about them nightly, LOL. We are looking forward to our first DLR trip in about 3 1/2 wks. He actually bought me DLR guide books for Christmas last year.

Keep trying. Book the trips and go. Live the magic. He'll get addicted.:goodvibes

He knows nothing makes me and the boys happier than a trip to DL ............I think he is just a man and thinks it is his job to be grumpy about it.:confused3
