When we go next week we wlll have our PAPs activated on the first day and put on our bands. So what happens on our October trip? How do we prove we have PAPs on our next set of bands? I'm not sure how the logistics work?

Nothing is actually stored on the MagicBands except for a unique band id number. Everything is linked to MDE Profiles and the MagicBand is just a key to reading that data. One MDE profile can have many MagicBands linked to it and all of the MagicBands can be used interchangeably.

My understanding is that Magic Bands are tied to your MDE account, to which your PAP would be linked. So as long as you link your new bands to your MDE account, it should be linked to your PAPs.

I was there 3 weeks ago, I used the same band as my November trip when I activated my PAP. Everything worked fine. It worked for my room at VGF and also at WL when we moved mid-week.
