Perhaps I've missed a previous thread, but I'm wondering that the statuts at the resorts is? Are they allowing guests to stay, or have they asked people to leave? Is Vero Beach closed?

Vero Beach is closed. I assume that means they evacuated it. They are not taking ressies for WDW for the weekend.

Check some of the info websites - allearsnet and wdwinfo for news and more information.

Not sure how things are at the parks ....As for VB though, they are under Mandatory evacuation so I would think that they probably sent everyone who was checked in either home early if possible or to the resorts at the park for those who couldn't get home. This is just my thinking of course not fact. I personnally got on a plane last minute with my 2 children(who are only 11mos. and 4yrs) out of Daytona Beach on Wed. and left my dh home with our cats (and some other family:( ) He's a homebuilder/remodeler and didn't want to be far from home as to be able to get back to work right after the storm is over and be there for the clean up. We live in Palm Coast near Flagler Beach and are under Voluntary evacuation. Dh has boarded up and sandbagged the house and has plenty of supplies and food. I left with the kids mainly because of the threat of possibly having no power for a week or more and have the baby rather than the storm itself. The potential for some 20 inches or more of rain bringing flooding and high winds is the big threat to our area of FL as of last night - need to talk to dh yet this morning. Please keep all those in the direct path of Frances in your prayers::yes:: WDW in Orlando will get a nice brunt of the storm so if you left early I'm happy you're safe and if you are currently there, stay safe.::yes::
