I bet all hotels will gouge the people who need one
Yes, Disney Springs is also closing at 5Is Disney Springs closing up earlier, too?
LOL - this is helping Disney, not their patrons. They aren't doing anyone a favor by selling a $5 meal for $13 - and the drink isn't even included.Disney resorts (at least the All Stars) are offering boxed lunches for $12.99 to get guests through closures tomorrow. Sandwich, chips, fruit, and dessert.
I would email them. Put your reservation dates in the subject line dash hurricane helpI just ran into a HUGE snag. I have my Disney resort only stay booked with Undercover Tourist... coming in Friday through Sunday.
Because of the hurricane we aren't making it in for the first night so I have been on hold for about 4 hours this morning with Disney - only to be told that UT bookings need to be changed through Undercover Tourist. But UT just closed their office at noon today through Sunday! How do you change a reservation??
I'm glad there are small business that can function in a larger economy, but to just close up shop like that? I should have learned the first time I went through a TA.... always book directly with Disney
Because the Atlanta flight was Canceled, CM friend has to cover her original shift: the wedding. She lives in Davenport and all routes to WDW are red.
She can't do Ride Out because all those teams are set to deploy at 6:00p - the wedding begins at about that time.
So quick question
Where is the best place to park the rental car on property
I was thinking by a tree but not the the first spot let someone else get that so most of the tree weight goes on that
This is why I hate it when people try to sugarcoat the news. No one wants anyone to panic, but people need to know the truth. Hurricanes are killers. People who are not prepared and take these storms lightly are putting themselves at risk. Where I live we are 50 miles inland. When hurricane Rita hit, we were on the west side of the storm. You know the "safe" side of the storm. Well, my town looked like a bomb had gone off. We were without water and sewer for several days and without electricity for weeks. Please please please take this storm seriously. My philosophy is prepare for the worst, and pray for the best.Update: The CNN family from Indianapolis that couldn't decide if they should stay or leave, has decided to stay.![]()
Do you know what time they are available until?Unfortunately, these lunches are for tomorrow - you won't be able to leave your resort rooms at a majority of the on property resorts for the brunt of the storm, hence providing them today.
My brother-in-laws daughter refuses to leave also. She is 10 blocks off Daytona Beach with a 1 year old in a 1st floor apartment. The family has been begging her since yesterday to evacuate. We don't know what else to do......Update: The CNN family from Indianapolis that couldn't decide if they should stay or leave, has decided to stay.![]()

Logistical problem... how are you going to sit and "hold it" for 24 hours! Why are they going to crumple to the ground?
Flight for Friday night arrival got cancelled and I can't get through to Disney to make changes - getting an "all circuits busy, please call back later" message. What should I do in this circumstance?
Unfortunately, she lost all of her "Atlanta" income. And, even if she can't return to her home tonight, she'd receive no compensation at all.Oh I just meant that I hope when all those CMs get stuck on property Disney does the right thing and pays them for it just like they pay the ride out team. Not necessarily that they should be put on crews.

Parking garages in high winds act like a funnel. Any debris in the area will be funneled through the levels like a vacuum. Do you really want to be sitting in your car when a stop sign comes flying through at 100 mph?Why are they going to crumple to the ground?
This is true:

It's so crazy; as someone living in Louisiana all this hurricane talk makes me thing that **** is about to go down outside, but I look out the door and it's a bright sunny day.
