Hungry Are The Damned! 10/15/07-10/25/07 - COMPLETED W/LOTS OF PICS!!!

I like the SEEM acronym! :rotfl2:

But, oh the horror! You were a Marketor ... :faint:

I kan forgiv you cuz yer a funee riter whut maks me chuckl.

As you can see, I too have spelling issues ... all liberal arts degrees carry that curse (we can read and analyze like fiends but we can't spell and I, for one, can't punctuate either).

:lmao:

I was thinking this afternoon how appropriate it really is, as in
"You SEEM like an English major, yet you work in a bank."

"That's funny, you SEEM like a liberal arts person to me."

"You SEEM destined for greatness, yet, here you are, slaving for the souless dominions of finance."

Did you see the Dilbert where the one character has to basically bow down and kiss the feet of the computer guru because she is a literature major and doesn't know a thing about IT? :lmao:

In many ways, you are John and I's liberal arts love child, as he is the History Guru and I the English/creative writing.
He is the beer obsessed, and I am the...Disney obsessed.

He is St. Louis, and I am Michigan.

No wonder we get along so well! :goodvibes

Hey Brenda-
I think you did better with your pastries - the buffet is a buffet is a buffet. We have done the Paris one and is fun but have yet to see one worth the price.
Plus too many people touching your food before you get it and I am not talking about the chefs!;) Hello did you wash your hands after you pulled that many slot machine handles?:rotfl:

I am not a big fan of buffets either; my two exceptions are Boma and the Paris buffet. The food is just so very good at both that it overcomes the heebie-jeebies that come with community food.
Besides, with all the slot machines that I myself touch, I already have those germs anyway, and I figure all the alcohol from the comped drinks kills them dead away!

Key to avoiding as many buffet germs as possible--arrive when it first opens.:thumbsup2

Brenda, we leave June 30th. But please don't feel pressured for my sake.
We arrive in LV around 1 pm. That tea would be a good start. Burger Bar sounds interesting. I'll be able to read that after I get back from Savannah. Yep, taking a red eye to see friends and sweat, or glisten as southern belles prefer.

I'll catch up with your eating adventures next week.

Deb

THis is true with the alcohol consumption at WDW and Vegas germs run from me! :thumbsup2

Brenda...The report was brilliant as usual. Love your blog....now I have to go to Vegas.

Jill in KC (who while not a stalker is moving to O'Fallon next month!--See you at the cheese store!)

Thanks for the kind words thanks for reading! :goodvibes

No way! You're really moving to OFallon? Do you know anyone in this area? I would be happy to show you our favorite Cheese and Booze haunt once you're settled. :thumbsup2

Well, I will be if the formal offer letter ever comes. :) In fact, I'm driving over Saturday and Sunday to apartment hunt. I'd love to know where all the good cheese and booze is. :) I don't really know anyone in the area...have some cruise friends that live in the City but that's it.

Pardon the pun, but keep me posted. :lmao:

There's nothing too good cheese-n-booze wise on this side of the river, but the Wine and Cheese Place is one of our favs as is the Wine Merchant. And a Whole Foods is going to be opening up in Chesterfied later this month, which is about a 30 minute drive from our house (give or take). They have a fine fine selection of cheese that makes me caper like a loon in the store. :rotfl2:

I'm Michouri ... born in Michigan and brung up in Missouri.

Destined for greatness? You're too kind ... I'm destined for weight gain if I don't start watching what I eat. :rotfl2:

I didn't think to factor in the alcohol ... :lmao:

Have a good trip Deb! I've only been to Savannah once but I loved it and can't wait to go back. But you're right ... ladies don't sweat (among other things, according to my Grimace). Hope to have Burger Bar up later this weekend and maybe Le Atelier next weekend ... there's a doings transpiring in Jay's family this weekend and my family next weekend so my free time is being siphoned away, much to my annoyance.

THis is true with the alcohol consumption at WDW and Vegas germs run from me! :thumbsup2

Hmmmmm, perhaps this means that Jay wasn't drinking enough last October when he got ill ... :confused3

Hey everybody! I just updated the blog with a review of our lunch at the Burger Bar. Come visit us when you have time - the link's in my siggie.

Have a great weekend! :goodvibes

Your metabolism is a gift. I promise.:worried:

Fantastic blog installments. I thought of you last night when we ate cheeses for dinner. Again.

It's a gift until it quits working and I gain 50 pounds in a month. :lmao: I guess that just means I'll have to workout three times a day to keep up with my food habit. ;)

Thanks for the kind words on the blog. Mmmmmmm, cheese for dinner - does life get any better? Wish we'd been there to help you eat it! :goodvibes

Thanks Kathy! They were delicious!!! :thumbsup2

Giada does have a big mouth doesn't she...and lots o' teeth! :teeth:  Unfair burger advantage!

But yummy food porn! Thanks for the review!

I have 12 molars, thanks to my wisdom teeth coming in right before I got my braces ... so my ortho. pulled other teeth to make room for them. I often joke around that I could probably chew though metal if I needed to, but I think Giada can with those jaws. :lmao:

BTW ... I would like to alert everyone that sometime tomorrow evening there will be a very special guest review posted to the blog. I'll be sure to come back and let you all know when it's offically posted, but I wanted to whet your appetites because it's going to be zip-zap-grabulous!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:
