Hungry Are The Damned! 10/15/07-10/25/07 - COMPLETED W/LOTS OF PICS!!!

:thumbsup2 Lovin' it Brenda. The sushi looked really good, big and fat and fresh! Delish!

Bummer on the teensy beer tasters. Reminded me of the last swig that's always left at the bottom of the bottle.

I really love your sense of humor Brenda!!!:thumbsup2 They sure were small samples of beer from the Sam Adams Brewing Co. Can I ask how much you paid to attend a seminar like that one? Plankton sure had a great time in Pearland.:thumbsup2

The moscato was excellent - we are big fans of Italian Moscato, especially with dessert although we have been known to drink an entire bottle before dinner on some occasions. It's a nice alternative to champagne because it's a little lighter, a little sweeter, and very very smooth.

Hey!

Have you tried Prosecco? I've gotten a really good one at Trader Joes a couple times. Good stuff! :thumbsup2

Wow, I just found this TR and had to stay up until the wee hours to catch up!! You are the best. I don't even like food that much - - eating is for energy - but you make me want to eat everything - well, I can't lie - the sushi - - - nope, none for me thank you. But, I love Kimono's - - but the entertainment only. If you hit if just right - the night can be filled with CM's - they are a scream and really, really talented.

You have to come to Disney next year - even if you stay with us!! We can't go a whole year without a TR from Brenda!!

Thanks for all of the entertainment you provide!! Uh, I have read all of your TR's - mostly I just lurk around!!

Tell Jason to get his own PC, our need for food porn is greater that his lame need to check work stuff... shame on him!

Please, please sir, tell us how it really feels to ride in a pocket all day. Do they really share their food and drink with you??

Inquiring minds need to know!!

I'm a little worried about how Plankton might respond to your questions... while we do share with him he doesn't get out as much as he would like, and is still bitter about the Chef's Table. ;)

Tell Jason to get his own PC, our need for food porn is greater that his lame need to check work stuff... shame on him!

Ha ha!! Andrea you're too funny! I do have a laptop but it takes a lot longer for me to work from that so I usually use our primary one for TRs. BUT ... when he has to work from home that's the computer he has to use - something to do with the security link from his place of business.

Thanks for reading! :goodvibes

BTW, everyone ... I'm responding backwards right now because it's a little easier - I'll do my best not to miss any of you, but if I do I'm sorry in advance. Thanks! :grouphug:

cool pics brenda....we only had 4 beers to taste on the ship but the glasses were a little bigger....Foster's, Sam Adam's, Newcastle Brown Ale, and Boddington's. My fave was Boddington's, but we all wished we would have had the opportunity to taste more varieties.

Great reading, as always, sistah.:thumbsup2

Hi Paige, thanks for stopping by! We never did a beer tasting on the Magic because they were all beers we'd tried before cruising. You have great taste - we're big fans of Boddington's, too. A CM at Rose and Crown turned us on to it a few years ago and every now and then we'll pick some up at the grocery store. :thumbsup2

Great installment Miss Brenda. I too enjoy the Sam Adams Oktoberfest..and I am sad to hear of the dissapointing beer tasting...We Bostonians ( or those of us close enough to Boston to call ourselves that) pride ourselves on our beer drinking ability and sharing fine stouts with friends..that was a sad representation of our Beer Manners. I would have poured you as many full glasses as you would have liked! ;)
Plankton Pairs well with those Pear Poseurs...

Hi Gina! Thanks for the beery hospitality. I was a bit surprised by just how stingy those pours were - Jay pegged it about one ounce. Not that we were expecting a full bottle or even a 6-ounce pour, but at least enough to enjoy it.

Plankton pears ... they were irresistable!

Woo hoo! Plankton is too cool! :goodvibes

I'm sure he would thank you if he were right now. ;)

Great update Brenda, hope you're enjoying your vanilla drinkie poo :rotfl2: What a shame about the beer tasting, oh well at least it was free!!!

Thanks Jo - glad you liked it! I actually haven't had any of the vanilla stuff since last week. Just gotta be in the right mood, I guess.

And you're right - at least the beer mouthwash was "free" ... with the price of Epcot admission. ;)

Brenda, I am with you in that I like to try new things on vacation. If I want the same old, same old, I can stay at home and eat at McD's.

There is something wrong when the best cannoli in WDW is found at Pinocchio's at MK though. I had one at Tony's and it was limp and tasteless.

Hi Linda! A lot of times vacation is the only chance we get to really try a lot of different foods. And while I'm not really an adventurous eater (especially compared to Jay) I like to expand my boundaries a bit. We looked for that cake every time we were at Epcot but they never put it on the menu.

And we've never tried cannoli anywhere else on property ... too funny that Pinocchios would have a great one!

I love how you weave words together in such a pattern and with such ease. You paint a picture with words and it fills the senses and makes my lips turn upward in glee.

Slightly Goofy/Linda

Oh my, thank you so much, :flower3: I'm just happy to write something that I have fun with and that others seem to enjoy, too.

Hi Jenny! Jay said the sushi was fabulous! ;)

The more I look at those beer samples the more I'm reminded of the dentist's office: Swirl, rinse, spit, repeat! :rotfl2:

Hi there - thanks for reading and I'm glad you're enjoying everything so far. :goodvibes The beer seminar was free - the only cost (other than time) was the price of admission to Epcot. If you've never attended one I'd tell you you to go because you've got nothing to lose. It was just that in comparison with the one we attended last year this one was a joke.

I've been looking forward to this report since last year! Love your reports

Thanks so much - I hope you enjoy this one, too!

You see how wonderful life is... when you're maniacal?

Uh... since when do you have access to a computer and how did you manage to register here? :confused3

Hey!

Have you tried Prosecco? I've gotten a really good one at Trader Joes a couple times. Good stuff! :thumbsup2

Hey there old friend; it's good to see you! How've you been? I bet that new baby has been keeping you busy!

Thanks for the suggestion - we tried Prosecco last year at Epcot for the very first time and liked it a lot. We've even picked it up at the grocery store a few times.

Hello! Thanks for reading - I'm glad you're enjoying the silly food love with us! We were disappointed to miss the karaoke, but it had been such a long day there was no way we would have been able to stay long enough to enjoy it. Something to look forward to on the next trip!

Well, if we win the lottery or a free trip we might be able to make it for next year's festival, but otherwise we're just going to have to suffer the hunger pangs from a distance. :guilty:

Thanks again for reading and de-cloaking - it's always good to hear from readers! :flower3:

Ahhhh, alliteration! One of my favorite-all time literary devices.

PRECISELY!

You again!?

Very nice!

Precisely!!!

Please see Plankton's response ... :lmao:

Wonderful! I`ve read through quickly - however I`ll read again and take notes.
The No Way Jose looks great, I`ve tried two in the past both were fab though the second was ruined by my husband looking both disapproving and embarrassed at the same time (quite a feat) next time I`m going to ask them to make a smaller version :sad1:
Really looking forward to reading about Jiko - do hurry back.

oybolshoi, I have always been cracked but you made me break into smaller pieces. :rotfl2:

Not pleasant. We blame everyone for this situation - China should not display such brightly colored, irresistable, furry items for purchase so close to the World Showcase thoroughfare; Parents should not stop and let their little darlings play with these items so long that they become emotionally attached, especially when the parents know they won't be buying said item; and Norway needs to cut back on the character meals.

oybolshoi -
I so agree on the character meals! I miss Akershus when they had 500% more varieties of herring and 99% less princesses. princess:

After reading your review of the beer tasting, I'm not so upset that I totally missed it this year! I kept looking for one like you went to last year, thought I just missed seeing it in the program.

Thanks for all the lovely pictures of the F&W food booths, we were there opening weekend and I wouldn't have been able to get a picture of the booths for all the crowds of people around them! And if there was a booth that didn't have a crowd, I probably wouldn't have eaten there, wondering if people knew something about the food that I didn't.... ;)

Thanks again for the reviews, they are helping me manage my Disney World withdrawal a bit better.
