Can anyone share your opinion on this service as compared to Netflix. I have heard they have alot of the newer tv shows please any help is appreciated

I think that I watch more Hulu than regular TV and I don't even have Hulu+. The only recomendation I have is browse through the shows that you'd want to watch. It seems like a good portion of the shows have a message saying somethin like "we do not currently have the rights to stream this show on mobile devices." Just know what you are signing up for.

Looking at their origins sums them both up for me.

Netflix came out to compete with Blockbuster. They have movies after they come out to DVD. They don't have all of them and they have more if you get their mail service than if you get streaming. They then have been allowed in the last couple years to get more recent episodes of a select few shows.

Hulu is streaming tv. Not all channels let them stream. I used to be able to watch all of my shows online the next morning, now they have a paid service where you still get to do that. I am cheap so I have to wait a week. They also stream some old movies, mostly ones you would see on tv all the time. There are breaks for commercials on the free version.

I watch both on my laptop (have a show on in the background as I type) and I can watch netflix on my Wii. I think hulu's paid service is coming out with an option for that.

can you watch Hulu on your tv? loke a way to put it through computer into tv?

My DS has Netflix and likes it, and while I enjoy movies, there are tv shows I really would miss if I shut off my DirecTV, which I really want to do!!!!

Any idea how much the paid Hulu thing is?

go to www.instantwatcher.com/hulu and you can see what hulu has to offer... not ALL of the TV shows are on hulu some are on the computer only (ie Ghost hunters) and I hate watching TV on my computer. :headache:

i use free hulu for tv. there are restrictions, at times i have seen a show and clicked on it to find for some reason i can only watch part of it. like if you watch snl often musical performances are cut out of it on hulu. i use it primarily to catch up on a few shows i miss on tv. in fact the only shows i watch on a regular basis from regular old channels (2-7) are shows that are also on hulu as i have no dvr and work nights often. i also think the quality is a bit off but i watch the shows on my netbook.

I ordered Hulu plus for $7.99 a month. I really like it and alot of stuff is available. The majority of the primetime programs on ABC, NBC, CW and Fox are available. I like being able to keep up with my shows. We cut down on cable and dvr and this has been the perfect replacement for us. We also have netflix streaming as well.

If you get a roku player they do have crackle which plays alot of older cartoons and some old sitcoms.

Hulu is primarily-owned by Disney/ABC. NBCUniversal, and the Fox Broadcasting Company. Current programs from those three networks usually air on Hulu, but if you are looking for programs from CBS, or the cable networks, it's largely hit or miss...
