We left Orlando today, but I have an AP so wanted to get in a quick few rides this morning. Islands opened at 8, so I figured I'd go ride The Hulk, then head over to the Studios to ride the Rockit...not so fast!
I got to Islands at 7:30 and was waiting at entrance to Marvel Island, wrongly assuming the Hulk would open at 8 when the park opens. Long story short, Hulk didn't open until 9! They wouldn't give an ETA other than saying they are doing "test runs" and "recommending" to go to another ride. I would have done that if I were spending all day there, but I only really wanted to ride The Hulk and had I left and returned later when it opened, there would have been a long wait!
I just want to know, is this normal? If the park opens at 9, will the ride open at 10? Stubborn me stayed in line until 9...I should have just given up and gone to the Studios, but then I was worried I'd encounter the same BS at the Rockit! Lesson learned.
