I was just looking at the new pictures posted on the DIS homepage (excellent by the way!) and I noticed there was one picture with some little girls dressed up in Hawaiian outfits. It looked like maybe they were taking dance lessons. Does anyone have further information about this? Thanks!

Was the picture of the girls in the lobby? When we stayed last time, they had cm's in the lobby during the busy check-in times giving the kids (and some big kids!!;) ) hula lessons. Maybe this is what you saw?!

This is the picture I'm talking about...

As I look at it again, it appears to be in a lobby. I would think it's an organized event as all the girls are dressed to the part (unless they hand out the dresses to the girls before the lesson).

Does anyone know who took this picture? I'd be happy to ask the source as I'm very interested in knowing the answer to this! The first thing my daughter said when she saw this picture is "I want to do that!"

Thanks!

When we were there in October there was some type of lesson going on in the lobby...all adults and one child. Here's a pic but I have no idea how you go about taking a lesson.

Edited to add: This was taken in the morning right after our breakfast at the Kona Cafe.

I know it is a reguarly scheduled event. If you are staying at the poly its listed in your island times resort newspaper. I dont know as that is one activitiy we did not take advantage of with the 3ds. I know around 3 they have stuff going on in the lobby at check in time with the cm playing the ukelele. And I thought I did read another poster say once she found out that it is on a saturday and it really is a school that practices at the luau cove in the morning and you can join them if you are a resort guest. You will have to check into this.

Thanks for the replies...I will certainly look into this on our next trip as I think my daughter would get a kick out of this.

Thanks again. :)

PartyOf5 - I've looked at the picture you are talking about - this is completely different then what I was previously describing!! What I meant was an informal lesson, to help pass the time during check-in. These girls obviously have put some time into this, as they are all dressed the part!!! So, disregard my post, I have no idea?!

Good luck on your search - I don't know when you are going, but if it is after April 10, I'll be glad to check while I'm there and report!!!

Thanks! We are going in August so if you happen to find out about this that would be great!

I'll go write that in my notebook right now!! Hopefully we'll be able to solve the mystery, if you don't find out before then!!!:sunny:
