Love the picture. I bet you could just put it under the seat in front of you. As long as it's secure and "closed". I can't believe we're at only TWO more sleeps! Did you get my FB message about CO for lunch? I'm just craving those beignets now. mmmmmm Mmmmmm I haven't even started packing, I'm going to do that tomorrow.

I just went back & read the FB response.....lol I love the food there already but to offer up Gingerbread Beignets with an EggNog dipping sauce for the holidays??........YUM YUM!!!!!!!

I did laundry & packed today minus the toiletry items. I don't take a lot of clothes.....I'm only taking one shirt....for sleeping in.....plan on buying shirts when I'm there!!! No need to fill up a suitcase with stuff I won't use....lol I'm actually packing a smaller suitcase in my big suitcase, that way I have extra space to bring stuff/goodies home!!!!

Countdown Pic~~2 Days to Go!!!!

So excited......one more full day at home, then a half day tomorrow, turn in keys to the old place, go up to my son's house in Portland, say goodbye to Mike, sleep at Nick's & head to airport & arrive at PDX by 5:30am....thank Nick for his hospitality & head to Alaska Airlines........then I'll be ON MY WAY!!!

I've decided not to take my laptop this trip. I have 2 memory cards for my camera & the laptop would be for uploading pics at night.....but I'm short on time, so didn't figure I'd have a lot of computer time anyways.....so after noon tomorrow....I will be offline until Friday morning. Make sure to check back Friday.....as the trip report & pictures will start flowing!!!!

I readlly don't think you landlord can keep you deposit just for paint. I read tenancy laws for Oregon, and the can only keep the deposit for Damage caused directly by you (collective), minus normal wear and tear.

"If you pay a deposit when you rent a house or apartment, the landlord must account for the deposit within 31 days after the termination of the tenancy and the return of possession to the landlord. The landlord may keep only the part of the deposit that is needed to pay for any damage directly caused by you, absent normal wear and tear, unless your rental agreement says something different."

Nicks in paint would fall under normal wear and tear. I would take pictures before you leave the place too.

Thank you so much for commenting on this subject. I know we're in the right.....this company had to change names because they were taken to small claims so many times from ex-tenants fighting them. I would fight them to the very end on this, if (and a BIG IF) my parents weren't listed as co-signers. I can't risk messing with their credit....so we're somewhat stuck. I think the place looks very good, especially since we've been in there for over 2 yrs. We've never had a problem in the past 28 yrs of our renting history getting our deposits back.....but this one has me worried! We've put more money into "fixing" up the place then our deposit is......just crazy to have to invest more money to get out of a place then it did for us to move into a place.

I'm sorry babe.....I wish you were going too!! Maybe our trip can be during the holiday season next year....would love to have more time to really soak it all in. I think the kids would love seeing Santa(s), the carolers, the reindeer.....REAL reindeer!!! Just so much they'd like......we have to plan for the Christmas season next year!!

So glad you guys were upgraded....just hoping for the same for us. I did find out that they didn't put us in a King room...but my co-worker and I do have adjoining rooms, they just wouldn't say if it was park view. I have a feeling it's not since she told me I could pay $45 extra to guarantee the view. SEE you tomorrow!

I'm back & have so much to share with you all!!! I had a wonderful time!! I got to spend time with 5 lovely DIS ladies, see the parks decked out in their Christmas splendor, eat some tasty goodies & just recharge the system. I can't wait to start sharing a bunch of photos.....(I took 1155 pics). I'm gonna have Mike photoshop some of them to see if we can't get the true colors I was seeing & some pics had some light/dark issues....so hoping to get them where the picture will be clear. I'm still spending time with the littles, as they really missed me.....but as soon as I get a few pics ready.....I will start the Trip Report!!!
