HS recommendations for Birthday Boy

Title says it all. Will most likely be at Hollywood Studios on my son's actual birthday. I've always found the food there the worst of all the parks.

Last trip we did H&V character breakfast. I thought the food was good, but he was less than interested in the characters.

Any suggestions for a good birthday meal at HS?

Oh, he'll be turning 5, and the other option is QS lunch somewhere at HS and then DTD for dinner (maybe T-Rex but that doesn't really appeal to Mommy, lol). No dining plan or anything.

The QS is definitely the worst of all the parks. I love the food at 50s PT, and it's a fun atmosphere. Scifi is good for burgers and shakes and also fun. Maybe someone here has had a bday experience at one of them?

I would make a dinner reservation at Downtown Disney and eat the Rainforest Cafe---let them know it is his birthday---he may get a free cupcake? Don't forget to stop at guest services at H.S and get him the birthday button.

We love TREX and I think it would be a great place to spend 5 yr old bday! The theming is very neat. They even have an under the water room/aquarium that is a little less dinosaur oriented.

At HS, we loved Sci-Fi. Our 5 yr thought is was cool & we had a great burger there. T-Rex was a must for us because DS5 is obsessed with dinosaurs & it was the same kind of food at Rainforest. He really enjoyed it. We had lunch there & it wasn't crowded so we were able to walk around to take his pics with all the dinosaurs.
