HS or AK on a shirt trip

I have never been to AK before but have done all the other parks many times. I am traveling in May (2-6) 3 park days 3-5, my current plan is May 3rd MK with mid day break. May 4th AK or HS in the morning mid day break Epcot at night. May 5th MK in the morning mid day break Epcot at night.

I am torn on AK or HS we are traveling me and my husband with a 10 month old, and some extended family (who are free to do their own thing). I know we won't get to do everything and I am ok with that. I just am wondering which park would be a better fit for us this trip. I was thinking at HS we would do TSMM and the Disney Jr show and maybe a few other things, AK I am not even sure what we would do.

Any Suggestions or input would be appreciated.

With a child that young, I'd definitely choose AK unless you and hubby really love or prefer DHS. At animal kingdom, I'd do the safari, play in the Boneyard play area, ride primeval whirl (the Dino-themed dumbo ride - I forget if this is the name or its TriceraTopSpin) Lion King show, Flights of Wonder show, Rafiki's planet watch, walk the animal trails. If you are willing to take turns watching little one and ride single rider, Expedition Everest coaster is my favorite ride in all of Disney! When my kids were very little, I just didn't feel like DHS held much for us at all.

ETA: isn't May 4th a busy day at DHS? "May the 4th be with you" a play on words for "may the force be with you" for Star Wars fans. . . Maybe check the crowd calendar predictions on EasyWDW.com to see which park is recommended that day.

Great point about Star Wars! Your right, I'd been checking the calendars on that site already but with such a short stay wasn't paying to much attention especially consider they are level 5 crowd days.

But I love all your suggestions and points! HS is out AK is in!
