Hello!
We've never done Hollywood Studios as a family, but on our next trip we'd like to check it out. Does anyone have some tips as far as the order in which to do attractions/see shows? We have two 3yr olds and two 4.5yr olds. We will get there right at opening and the following are must see there for us (I think):

Beauty & the Beast show
Playhouse Disney Live on Stage
Toy Story Mania
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Block Party Bash
Star Tours (for the 4.5yr olds)

My husband & I would love to do Tower of Terror and Rock n Roll on the baby swap, but the other stuff takes precedence. Also, I'd like this to be a more mellow day since we're doing AK the day before and we don't want to totally wear the kids out...this is what our week looks like:

Sun-arrive
Mon-MK
Tu-break or couple hours at Epcot
W-AK
Th-HS
Fri- break or couple hours at Epcot
Sat-MK, including fireworks (we'll go back to hotel for naps)

Last trip (with two 2yr olds and two 3.5yr olds) we did 2 days at MK and 1 at AK with break days in between. This time too, we won't have any grandparents with us, no aunt and uncle...so let's just say my husband and I will be worn out and probably be packing Red Bull ;)

Thanks for your help!!

First thing you'll want to do it go to TSM and get fast passes. Voyage of the Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney are right near TSM, so to not go back and forth you might want to do those. We've never had a wait for either of those.

I would check out the times for the Beauty and the Beast and not go to the last show. I think lots of people forget about it then go at the last minute cause it is the last chance. It is my dd fav so its a must for us.

Block party bash, I think is the parade. We really couldn't see it, there were too many people. Also it doesn't move continuously, so if you are not at a stopping place, it is really hard to see. The other thing is, its a great time to do TOT and Rock'n roller coaster.

You can get fast passes for TOT and Rock'n Roller coaster too. Also, you can use the singles line at Rock n roller coaster and don't really have to worry about the baby swap as it usually goes faster than the fast pass line. Since Beauty and the Beast is right by both, you may want to get a fast pass while you wait for the show. Or have one person go then have the other person go while the first one goes to wait for the show. DH went on Rock n roller coaster while the kids and I waited in line for Beauty and Beast. I just texted where we sat and he came in the theater.

I don't know that I was very helpful. It seems like HS is the one park I don't schedule too much. And I have a boy so we have to see Buzz and Woody as well as the Power Rangers.

But most important thing would be to get fast passes for TSM first, the wait can get well over 1 hour.

I second getting the fast pass first for TSM. When we went through the regular line was 110 minutes. When we got to the CM to give the fast pass ticket too she said it was actually closer to 3 hours. I could never wait for that long. At first DH wanted to hit a few rides but I insisted and boy was he happy I pushed him.

Also we were able to get a bunch of autographs at HS. We did the play & dine so we got June, Leo, JoJo, & Goliath. DS was determined to get all the Little Einsteins. I had to ask if Annie was coming out later and the CM was able tell what time to come back. We also got Handy Manny. In the animation place we got both Incredibles, Frozone, the Up characters. I'm pretty sure there was more I just can't remember. Oh and Buzz and Woody.

The boys enjoyed the Playhouse Disney show. The older one really got into it and was dancing around. We didn't do Little Mermaid, too girly for the boys, even though mama wanted to see it. There is also the Honey I shrunk the kids playground that they enjoyed. They got to run around and give DH and I a breather.

I hope that helps you out a little bit. Let me know if you have more questions.

I am for sure heading to TSM first to get a fast pass!! Then, I think we'll do Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney. That's great they liked the Honey I shrunk the kids playground...I think we'll try that, or maybe I can take the little ones while my husband takes the 4.5yr olds to ride Star Tours. Did you do the Block Party Bash...is it worth it at all?? Did you do Pizza Planet? One more :) Where did you meet Woody & Buzz?? Mine would LOVE that!
Thanks for your help!!

Thanks for the tip about doing the single rider line while we wait for Beauty & the Beast!!

We were just there a week or so ago. My advice on the rides is Toy Story Mania was lots of fun. We got a fastpass for it that was to be used at like 1:30 . when we went to ride it all fast passes had been handed out for the day. So we were not able to fast pass it again.

The waits the rest of the day on it even into late hours was no shorter than 45 mins. I think your kids would love it so just remember this ride.

My 3 year old and 5 year old both enjoyed it.

We ate at Pizza Planet and it was fun. It is a pizza joint as far as food goes and then there are all the games and stuff for the kids to play (bring extra money if you plan to play). The kids liked the atmosphere and we had fun.
The Muppets 3D movie is also right by Pizza Planet...my kids liked it as well.

Woody, Buzz and friends are usually around Toy Story Mania Ride, we didn't see them, but saw Green Army Men instead, which my kids thought were great!!!

Don't foget about Lightening McQueen and Mater photo opt as well. My DS4 and DD6 loved it!!! We also saw Sulley and Mike from Monsters, Inc. in that area! They thought that was great!!! Their character signing spots are marked on the map that you get when you walk through the gate. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes at either place.

Unfortunately we missed the Beauty and the Beast show as it was pouring down rain and all the way across the park. We too had waited 'til the last show and then missed it. We also missed the UP characters and some others in the Animation Room, as they are only there until 6:00p.m. (I think).

Just pick what you really want to see and plan accodingly. We saw everything we wanted to, except Beauty and the Beast. We'll just have to hope it is still there our next visit!!!

HAVE FUN!!!:wizard:

We're going to WDW the last week of August and one quick HS question I have is if we head straight to TSM to ride it as soon as the park opens, what kind of wait should we expect?

Thanks!
