Can anyone help me structure a half day at Hollywood Studios for a family with a 6 & 3 year old who won't do any major rides (TOT RR etc.)?

We do want to try TSMM and Fantasmic and meet some characters, but we aren't huge Star Wars fans (don't shun me! lol). Do you have any other suggestions? Shows? Rides? Experiences? I know the park is a bit differently lately due to construction, but we still want to check it out.

There's still Disney Jr, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, Muppets, and Frozen Singalong

(There is Indiana Jobes and Great Movie ride but both are on the intense side)

And:

Hitting all of the shows with "only" a few rides will actually make a busy half day. (Repeat guests don't repeat many shows.. So they have less to do)

Since you mention F!, you will be afternoon, so start with Disney Jr as it has fewer later show times.

What they said above. I think DHS is perfect for the non-thrill seeker. And you may find it hard to do a lot of stuff in just a HALF day if you want to see the shows.

I would suggest:
Disney Junior
Toy Story Midway Mania
Little Mermaid
Frozen Sing a long.
Muppets
Character meets (Buzz, Woody, Disney Junior)
Character dinner
Fantasmic

We went to DHS with a 2, 3 and 4 year old (my son and his cousins). We were a slow moving group (as can be expected with three kids that age) .. but we still had a fun, full day:
There were tons of other stuff we could have done but didn't (or didn't have time). My son was not up for Fantasmic .. he was afraid it would be too loud.

Even if they're not "big" into Star Wars, I would 100% still recommend Jedi Training Academy. It's not even so much about the Star Wars, as the idea that they get to put on costumes, get a "sword" and get to go up on stage and be part of a show. My kdis weren't big into Star Wars when we went to HS either - they LOVED JTA. And... as a result, turned into huge Star Wars fans, lol. But, it's definitely a really, really fun, memorable thing for kids to do.

We are not a thrill ride family, this is what we did:

Indiana Jones
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
JTA
Star Tours (DH and I)
Frozen Sing a Long
Frozen Parade
Fireworks
Fantasmic
TSMM 2x
Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground (of course that is gone now)

Then of course there's all the meet and greets you can do, Beauty & The Beast, Disney Jr, Muppets, a character dinner etc... Seriously - plan a full day, not a half day. There's still lots of stuff to do there for non-thrill ride kids, even without Star Wars. And your kids might surprise you when you get there, by wanting to do some of the Star Wars stuff.
