HRH the best & the worst things about the HRH

Looking to find all the best tips,hints and anything else about the HRH. We go in june for 9 days with my sister and my son along with his cousin.

Good:

The Theming
The Atmosphere
The super cool black outfits the front desk people wear
The short walk to Universal
The slide in the pool
The Magic Card Key!

Bad:

The long walk up the stairs after self parking

The fact that I can't go that often!

The accomodating and friendly staff
The ease of navigating the resort

The fabulous pool with that great slide
The Beach Club bar/grill - so nice to eat out by the pool
The comfy beds!!!
Great, relaxed, cool atmosphere
Convenient walk to parks

Worst:
It's in Orlando and not Houston!

I have to agree the only con is that terrible mountain hike from self parking. It's almost worth the valet charge to avoid killing yourself.

I second the steps from self-park, and the fact that there is no alternative to those steps. But, that is the only negative I have about this great hotel. Don't forget to check out the women's bathroom in the lobby-it is amazing.

Don't forget the hundreds of palm trees bordering the entrance to the hotel. What a sight!!!
One con for us was that we asked for an upgrade to pool view. This was our last night and we were exhausted. They gave us the pool view but with it came music that was on full blast (it seemed that way anyway) around the pool bar area until 12:00 am. We couldn't fall asleep. I know the music is the theme of this hotel......but we really needed to sleep early one night!

The HRH is awesome! I love wandering around checking out all the memorabilia. The beds are sooooo comfy! And you can't beat the walk to the parks.

The only con: If you're at the end of the hallway, it's a LONG walk.
