HRH or RPR?

I am second-guessing now where to stay. I have booked RPR but wondering if HRH would be better or not. Just 3 of us going in late April (DH, myself and DD5). We will be spending 1 day at US, and 1.5 days at IOA. Probably will eat once or twice at Citywalk. I think I'd like the atmosphere at RPR better, DH would probably like HRH and not sure what would be best for our DD5. The allure of HRH for me at this point is the pool. We won't be spending tons of time at the pool but may try to spend 1-2 hrs each day we're there. Plus HRH is more expensive.

How far a walk is it from RPR to HRh?
I saw pools are open til 10 - are the slides at HRH open that late too?
Thinking maybe we should just pool hop to HRH one day.

Any thoughts?

I think your 5 year old will love RPR. The pool has got a huge interactive area that he will probably love.

The walk to HRH from RPR is about 20 - 25 minutes, maybe longer with a 5 year old.

you can take the water taxi from rph to city walk.
from there get off and catch the water taxi that goes to hrh.

you have that option if you don't want to take the shuttle bus or walk from one hotel to the other.

My son is 6 years old and loves RPR. Normally when staying longer we take a few hours to pool hop at HRH, have lunch and use the pool / slide. We take the water taxi though real easy and relaxing.:thumbsup2

My family are big fans of the RPR pool and I think your 5 yr old will love it. Don't second guess yourself because no matter which hotel you stay at you will LOVE:goodvibes it and have a great time.

We haven't stayed on property in many years but out fav was RPR. It is closest to IOA, we always just walked from RPR. We love that the path from RPR comes out right at Margaritaville! Makes it easy to stop for a quick bite or liquid refreshment when leaving the parks and returning to the hotel. I think with younger children the RPR pool is better fit, just my opinion. My teens love the HRH pool a bit better.

Thanks all -
I'm going stop second-guessing myself. I am excited about staying at RPR esp since I love a tropical theme. Also thanks for the water taxi suggestion!

You will love the RPR cause we stayed there for the first time last year and loved it and now the family won't stay anywhere else :thumbsup2
