Just got back from a wonderful trip to US 8-4-12 to 8-7-12 and loved HRH

Location- wonderful! so close to US, I timed the walk to US from the pool short cut to be 2min 30sec, from our room 5th floor right by elevator 3 min 45 sec. It was awesome to make a quick walk to City walk or US

Rooms- large and comfy. We asked for a roll-away bed for my DS to use and two teens do not like to share a bed and there was one available. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hopefully HRH will go to free internet like Disney!

Pool-so much fun for my teens. Very different vibe than our Portofino stay two years ago. We couldn't keep the teens out of the pool. The pool was packed, but we did find one chair to put our stuff on and sit on.

Laundry- found the laundry room on the 4th floor. Was able to do laundry easily.

Eats- we ate at the poolside eatery for lunch a couple of times. Food was good, small menu and expensive. The ice cream was a huge hit for the kids!

We had a good time at the HRH and would stay there again. Be prepared to not have your room ready until 4PM, we tried to arrive as late as possible, but still had to wait a couple hours. We just hung out at the pool until the room was ready.

How far is it from Hard Rock Hotel to the Islands of Adventure?

Do you WALK there, or is there a SHUTTLE that is run by the Hotel?

We always walked, as it was quicker than taking the boat. The boat will drop you off at City walk, which is closer to IOA than walking (you will end up at US entrance).

I think it took me 5 min to get to IOA, but we walk briskly so 5-7 min sounds about right.
