Hey, thinking about trying to bump up to concierge, how much food do they have, how's breakfast, there's five of us, two teenagers, would it save us some $$$, is it worth it or not. Have read some good and bad....

Tell us your Garden View rate and your Club Level rate.

The difference is probably not worth it. For less money than the club room difference you could probably each order the buffet breakfast at Sunset Grill each morning.

I think it was $125 for the pool view, thinking about the cash bribe to desk clerk, hey it works in LV, I know we couldn't eat breakfast for $20 at HR. I have a Loew's First card so am thinking $20 along with card, might improve the odds, throw in its my anniversary??

For $20 it might be worth it, but not much more. I stayed in concierge room during April (Easter week) and the concierge services were awful. They only offered cheese and crackers and days old veggies in the p.m. and a limited continental breakfast in the a.m. They were always 30 to 40 minutes late with breakfast and never had any butter, cream cheese, etc. When I asked about the evening hor dourves the concierge told me that it would be cheese and crackers for the time being becauise they were putting out shrimp and sushi, etc and the quests were taking trays back to their rooms and that two guests actually came to physical blows over the shrimp. The lounge itself is rather small, but nice and I must say that everyone was tripping over themeselves. They also used to give cookies and milk after 8 p.m. and they changed it to 7:30 to 8:30 only (when many of us were still at Citywalk). The duty manager of the hotel was very apologetic and said that she knows that the concierge level needs a lot of work and that they would be reassessing it in the upcoming months. You might want to call ahead and see if they upgraded the services since April. They do turn down the rooms (they missed one night) and you need to use your key to gain access to the 7th floor, but this was not up to par with other concierge level services. They did comp me $70 and sent up a huge tray of cookies to our room, along with milk and a big fruit basket. I loved the HRH, just don't think it was worth it for the concierge level. I hope they work on it, it would be a shame to not have the option for special occassions.
