I want to start by saying that I love hotelkingdom and use them whenever I have the opportunity. This is definitely not a complaint against them.

I am taking a trip to Orlando in the middle of August. I had booked a room at RPH but we have recently decided to bring my nephew and felt that a bigger room would be more enjoyable. While switching my reservation through hotelkingdom there must have been some confusion with the reservationist and she booked us in the HRH instead of PBH as I requested. I really do not want to go through the hassle of switching reservations again (especially with all of the posts regarding the need to check your bills carefully at the Universal Hotels).

My longwinded question is this: Is it too loud at HRH for a one year old to sleep easily? I wanted PBH because I know it will be quieter (I also have heard that the rooms are bigger). I really do not care about the mix up with my reservations as long as my daughter will be able to get a good nights sleep.

Thanks for any information.

There is always music playing in the backround at the HRH until you start to walk away from the elevators and head towards the rooms then you can no longer hear the music. You will not have a problem at all. Enjoy yourself.

I am a very light sleeper (very light:( ) and you can nap during the day easily (unless you have people running down the hallway that can disturb you).

With regards to the music, I don't think you will find that disturbing - remember little ones can fall asleep anywhere (most of the time). It is usually more the 'new' environment that keeps them curious.

I am sure you will find your new accomodations just fine.

We stayed at the HRH last summer and I was quite amazed at
how quiet it was in our room considering we were very close to
the elevators and lobby area. Your one year old should have
no problem napping. I'd stay at the Hard Rock again in a flash.

We're heading for the Royal Pacific next week though to save
a few $$. Hope we like it compared to HRH and PBH. We've
stayed at both hotels in the past.
