OOC: I know no one's on at the moment, but I think this is an important OOC post since the RP year probably won't be much longer, if we want to start the next game in an active summer with plenty of people.
Basically, I'm assuming that after this game we will do the last book/movie. I have a few questions about that game and after that. I'd like to discuss those questions, their possible answers, and our options with you.
1) First, I wanted to know how this next game will work. If you tink about it, our characters will not be spending much time together for the most part until the battle. Harry, Hermione and Ron will have run after the horcruxes. I'm planning for Max/Alex to convince the trio to take her along in their hunt. I have no idea what Adam will be doing. At the moment, that's all we'll have. But if we have Melody and some of the others maybe (ChipnDale asked me about coming back the other day and I kind of gave her an iffy answer 'cause I wasn't sure.), then how we will do this has to be thought of. In the book/movies, the trio didn't really have any contact with anyone. In our game, with the magic writing paper, should that be different? Or would they decide that someone at Hogwarts would take the paper if they saw it and therefore decide it was too risky? Will the other AHCR Juvenile Delinquents have some idea about where the trio(and possibly Max) are or what they are doing, or will they be in the dark?
2)This game will be starting this summer, so there will be lots of people. Do you want to open sign ups again? I know it may not be the same, but think about it. That year was definitely not the same for the real characters. There was a battle in Hogwarts and Death Eaters as teachers, for Pete's sake!(Whoever Pete is.) Besides, it would be awesome if maybe we could get some of the other characters, like Ginny, Luna, Neville, Lupin, Fred and George, Draco, Snape, Bellatrix, and even Voldemort if they're good. It's really all about the big battle, and the more fighters we have, the better the battle would be. Of course we wouldn't let anyone with Harry's party unless they have a very good reason (like being a visionary that could help them out), and have RP'ed with us before. But letting new people in is something to think about.
3)So what will happen after Year Seven? We have quite a few options. Option #1, which has been discussed the most, is playing the children off our characters. I've actually been working on Max/Alex's children, really changing them from my first ideas of them. Option #2, which I just came up with, is putting these aside and making a whole set of new characters all in the trio's year, so we could start in Year 1 and go all the way through to Year 7. To me it's interesting, because we would basically play as our characters grow up and change over time. But that would be a lot of typing. Option #3 I also just came up with. It's not quite an RRP where the characters interact. It would be more like this journal that the characters wrote in. It would be set a year or two after the Battle of Hogwarts. Basically the characters would be writing in theis journal about what they've been doing since the end of the war and the experiences they've had and the events that would happen. For example, Max/Alex might write about trying to complete both Years 6 and 7 in one year, and trying to find a team she could audition for. Option #4 would be pretty much setting Harry Potter aside and taking a break from RP'ing that and finding another movie or book series to RP about. Eventually we could go back to Harry Potter.
I have the need to not play such a misfortunate character.
Anyway, post your answers/thoughts please.
