How's Thrifty for car rental?

We can get a cheap week rental for a minivan in October through Thrifty. Does anyone have experiences they'd like to share? I know we'd have to take a shuttle, which I'm not that thrilled with b/c we'll have two little ones, one stroller and a carseat, and luggage . Has anyone had just one person go and get the car, and then pick them up back at the airport? Not sure if that's too much of a hassle.

Please share opinions!

Also, I see on the website that they charge for additional drivers - does anyone know how much this charge is?

I have used Thrifty twice and liked the service and the car, and the price was great.

The ride on the shuttle bus is not long; Thrifty's facility is one of the closest. It would probably take about 30-40 minutes for someone to make the round-trip, depending on the lines at Thrifty.
