To get the dining addon, you must book a package. You cannot book just a room and then add the dining option on.
To book a discounted package, you must either go thru AAA or have a code that can be applied to a package. Some people have been fortunate enough to receive either a postcard or email offer with a PIN code. Some of those can be used to obtain both a discounted room or package.
Hi, These are base tickets 14 day expiratinon . We did not think that we needed to go with hopper option because our kids are so small. Yes we did get the dining option. I'm sure someone could find a better price than I did but thought it was a pretty good deal. Got tired of looking and looking for the "best" price. Good luck to everyone on finding a good price.
Can someone explain "codes by your name"? I have read several posts that people have called Disney and asked if there is a discount code by their name and sometimes there is and sometimes there isn't. How does that work?
I have booked room ressies only so far through AAA. Two nights at CB (mid-July) at 126.00 night (tax included) and 6 nights at POP at 93.00 a night.
I am always up for saving a few more dollars.
Thanks.
Hi!! I think that sounds like a good price!!! especially with most of your food!! Anyhow I wanted to let you know you'll LOVE POR. We were in the alligator Bayou number 15 just the beginning of feb. we didn't get one of the redone rooms but we just had to ask for a fridge which was great for the soda/water we brought. although we only drank that in the mornings/night, but was nice to have right there. Anyhow we, even with two little ones almost 3 and 5, we were barely in the room but did like it!! the smaller pools are a lot warmer than the big one if you like walk right in temps lol!! have fun!!

Disney sends out email and snail mail postcards to what seems like "random" guests (although I'm sure there is a method to their madness). These postcard rates are also in CRO's computers so that if a guest calls but deleted the email or misplaced the postcard, the CM can look up your name and check for a code. This is what people mean when they refer to having a "code by" their name.
As we all know, a lot of email gets blocked by ISPs or goes directly to a SPAM file, where it is never seen. So, it is entirely possible that if you've ever had a subscription to the Disney Magazine, vacationed at WDW, DL or DCL, registered on the Disney website or entered a Disney contest, your name can be in their system and you may have gotten a code. It never hurts to call CRO to find out. All they can say is "No".
Disney also seems to categorize codes by address and telephone number as well. So if you ask for a code by your name and it comes up negative ask them to look up under your address or telephone number.
