How's the weather in the Orlando area and Florida in general? Are the parks still open as usual?
I'm worried about you all. Hope the storm isn't too bad. Stay safe and hunker down!

It seems Isaac has decided to shift to the west.

From what I just heard on the news, it looks like things may start clearing tomorrow or Tuesday.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for the gulf coast.

Our local news is saying it could hit New Orleans as early as Wednesday as a category 2 or 3 hurricane.

Wednesday is the 7th anniversary of Katrina.

Down here in Sarasota it's rainy and windy.

The clouds rolled in this afternoon and it started sprinkling. Now the wind has picked up and it's raining outside.

Schools are closed on Monday. I'm curious to see what happens for Tuesday.

Today (Monday) is the worst weather-wise so far for us in Central Florida.

Very heavy rains, winds and lightening/thunder. Can't get the dogs to go outside.

Seems like we have been under a Tornado watch/warning all morning.

They are predicting today is the worst of it so we have our fingers crossed for that.

So far we still have power so that's a good thing.

Gray with some winds and rain bands every once in a while here in Miami. Not bad though.

In downtown Orlando the rain has stopped and the clouds are breaking up.

We might even see the sun this afternoon!

I live between Orlando and Tampa both are about a 45 minute drive away.
It rained on my way home from hanging out with people at 3:30 4:30 AM it was raining heavy and was a pain to drive in.
This morning its not raining at all.
My 9:00 AM Math and 12:15 Digital Media class were cancelled for nothing.
But my bunnies seem to think its the worst store EVER they won't leave their little plastic house for more than long enough to grab food and run back.

We are in full on disaster mode at work. Most of our company assets in Louisiana, Alabama, MS, and Florida are in the main strike zone. It is going to be a crazy week here on the Gulf Coast.

One of my best friends (who was ultimately responsible for Val & I meeting) is in charge of the 911 facilities for NOLA. I'm sure he's going to have some long days coming up.

It totally skirted us here in Sarasota. We've got no wind and sunshine. Basically, all we got was hard rain last night.

Schools will be open as usual tomorrow.

They've been predicting for Oklahoma to possibly get some of the rain and winds Thursday/Friday. Not too thrilled with the wind, but we definitely need the rain. We have been in the worst drought on record. I'm fearing the Dust Bowl again. I have never seen so many completely dried up ponds in my life.

While I do not wish bad storms for the Gulf Coast, I do hope there is enough rain left once it hits land to help out the folks in those drought areas- like Oklahoma.

Tampa too. Nothing. Not anything more than a breeze & a passing shower here & there. Sun in & out today. Kids had no reason to miss school! It looks like the outer bands were heavier Orlando to east coast of FL instead.

Well everyone here in southeast Louisiana is hunkering down this morning... Issac is expected to get to category 1 status, but I actually live in Hammond (about 45 miles nw of nola) which is in the direct line of the eye. The weather people seem to be staying fairly calm which makes me feel better. But are already under tornado watch and will probably stay there until late wednesday evening. Although I went through several storms and everything turned out fine, we've never been in line for an eye here in my hometown... Just a little nervous...

Tried to talk the hubby into evacuating to Disney but he said if we went now, our trip in early October would be a no go... :/. So I picked October... Party pooper!
