How's the 'Ohana Character Breakfast?

We wanted Chef Mickey but couldn't make the times work so the CM suggested the 'Ohana character breakfast. Good choice or should I keep calling and hoping Chef Mickey opens up? Thanks.

This is actually our favorite character breakfast! We love visiting the Poly and the atmosphere is much more laid back than Chef Mickey's. The characters are Goofy, Mickey, Chip, and Dale and they are all dressed in cute Polynesian outfits. We're never experienced huge crowds, so we've always had great character interaction. The characters also parade around the restaurant every hour or so, and they invite the kids to participate too.

Food wise, we prefer breakfast served family-style rather than a buffet, even though that does mean there aren't as many choices. You can ask for more of anything you'd like and the menu includes: pineapple bread, biscuits, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fried potatoes, and Mickey waffles. Delicious!

I love Ohanas character breakfast. The food is served family style with eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, mini Mickey waffles, and potatoes. The potatoes are very good, they are like a seasoned home fries or steak fries. Also ,before the skillet, you get pineapple bread and a big bowl of cut up fruit.

The character are Mickey, Chip, Dale, and either Goofy or Pluto, I can't remember which one. The character ineraction was better than most other character meals we did. They also have a parade for the kids every hour or half an hour.

We have ate at Ohanas twice and the food was good both times. The last time we went was in May and the service was horrible. I hope they were just having a bad day. Overall Ohanas is one of my favorite meals at WDW not just my favorite breakfast.

We did breakfast last year at Ohana's and felt very rushed. Forget even asking for a coffee refill....two times and her kept saying "just another minute" The characters seemed to hang around more at Chef Mickey's but I don't like getting up to go to the buffet (afraid of missing someone!). I'd say either one will be okay.

Hi. We did the O'Hana breakfast four times. Three great experiences, and one not so great. We just returned from a trip 8/21 through 8/27. We had breakfast there on Tuesday, 8/23 - the food came out cold twice, and we had to wait forever for drink refills. When we told the server our food was cold, it must have been microwaved because the waffles were tough and the eggs were hard. The character interaction was good, though. I believe in second chances, so I would try it again!

We had a "blah" experience at Ohanas. My kids were 3 and 1 at the time, and weren't impressed with the food. (Buffets seem to work better for my picky guys!) We had to wait a long time for our seat, even though our Reservations were for 10 and the place was half empty. The characters didn't come around much, and we hardly saw our waitress.

We had a great time at CHef Mickey's with a 5 pm reservation. The characters cycled around at least 3 times. My girls loved the party atmosphere -- and I even got pictures of Mickey spoon-feeding the baby In comparison, we felt let-down by Ohanas. My girls only request for our upcoming trip was to eat at Chef Mickeys again.

I guess everyone has a different opinion, and experiences can change from day to day. You can always book Ohanas, and keep calling back for CM.

We've had a few really great breakfasts and one bad one (mostly because we had last seating and were seated very late, the characters went off shift mid meal). No problems with service or food quality.

We loved the dinner there so this time we are going to try the breakfast. i hope we have a good experience. We went to Kona Cafe one morning for breakfast and saw them having so much fun down there for breakfast !!
