Please take the following comments as light hearted as they are intended, and please keep in mind that I have a warped sense of humor!
So, is there any CS in AK that has pizza on the kids' menu? Maybe Petrifries will stop selling fries, and add pizza for kids!!
And now let the flaming begin!!!
We will be using the
ddp, so we had planned to use adult cs for adults at flame tree and child cs at pizzafari for the kiddies. What do we do now? If we use adult cs for the kiddies for pizza, that will leave us short on adult cs. But wait....Pizza Planet doesn't have a kids menu. Do we dare use the extra child cs that we didn't use at AK to buy the adults pizza when we go to MGM? Will I be permanently labeled as a plan abuser? From what I'm reading, it's the same pizza, and the same oop price, so is it a harmless swap?
Well.... you won't get flamed from me.... as a matter of fact.... we may be flamed together. So be it. I'll admit it-- this was our one and only "variation" in the dining plan.
As you said, there's no child's menu at Pizza Planet. We didn't plan it that way when we went.... as a matter of fact, when we walked in, the place was vacant--I was standing there scouring the menu trying to find the child's menu (I had read the menus on Allears, but didn't remember the specifics of all the counter service places.) So I asked the CM, he very apologetically said "No, there's no child's meal." I asked, "Then, I just order from the adult menu for her on the ddp?" He said, "Sure!!!!"
Fast forward to Pizzafari.... I guess I was mistakenly thinking the menu would be basically the same. As a matter of fact, it was dd8's "turn" to choose lunch. She was craving cheese pizza. I (for a couple of seconds) tried to convince her that the quesadilla and dipping sauce were the 'same thing' and she looked at me like I was from another planet!!! She wanted pizza.... she CHOSE the pizza place.... she's a kid! So... I ordered the pizza for her.
But, in reality, there were several times when we did not order the desserts... and quite a few times when we skipped the drinks at Pop (since we had our legal mugs-- unlike many others we saw at Pop drinking out of "non-Pop" cups/ mugs --another topic, I know!

. It actually became a "game" to my daughter to quietly point out (to us) someone with the "wrong" mug) As a matter of fact, on our last day dh packed our mugs in our checked luggage, and instead of filling our empty water bottles with icees while we waited for the magical express, we used snack credits to "purchase" fountain drink cups.
I thought in the case of Pizzafari, the child's choices were pretty goofy. As I said in my original response, if they don't want to do a full-size pizza, cut one in half, add the applesauce and mickey crackers, and charge $3.99 and they've got a pizza kid's meal!!!
