How's Nate Page?

Hi All,
I haven't been around lately. I've been playing on the trip reports board(go check out "delswife" 's trip reports...what a riot!).

Anyway, I was thinking about Nate and wondering how he's doing. Last I heard he wasn't doing too terific but was holding his own. Anybody got any recent news? Ever since we all "sailed" with the Page's I think of Nate often.

I sent Chris Page an e-mail this past Saturday, but I haven't heard back from her as of yet. I know she has been quite busy as of late. I will try getting a hold of her again and see how Nate and everyone is doing.

For what it is worth, Chris sent me a card this week. Nate seemed to be doing the same but she didn't really get into details.

Thanks for asking how Nate has been doing and thank you for thinking of him! He has generally been in very good spirits lately but still has periods where he seems to get very uncomfortable and irritable even when he is being held. He has always loved to be held but lately he doesn't seem to be as comfortable. He really prefers to sit in his swing. He has also lost a bit more weight but not as dramatic as after we returned from our cruise.

We have built a contraption that allows him to lay on his stomach to take some of the pressure off his back/spine. He normally can't lay on his belly since his condition doesn't allow him to turn his head to the side to be able to breathe. The contraption we built out of foam pads allows him to lay on his stomach for short periods of time. He seems to enjoy the change of position and scenery!
