How's Everyone Doing Out There? (Blizzard)

Oh, she's adorable!!!

Winston (above), too! - I love the look on his face!

We've got 18" here in Somerset County, NJ with more coming...my golden refused to go out in the snow until my DH shoveled some of the driveway :)

I'm sitting way up north here, just outside of Bangor, ME. It's 14 degrees F with a "real feel" of 2, but it's not snowing- in fact, it's partly sunny (optimistic Maine-speak for "mostly cloudy"). We missed this one completely. That's OK, last year's 187" of snow was really enough for two winters! I'm watching the coverage in amazement (BTDT) and hoping everyone is safe and warm.

My poor doggie is not enjoying this with her arthritis. She's 15 1/2 years old.

The storm was pretty much of a bust down in Charlotte, NC. Just a few inches of snow and some ice. But since the city shuts down at any dusting of snow, there was no impact.

GO PANTHERS!

Raleigh NC here , same thing. I am really jealous of all those people with the snow.....but come March when we begin to warm up I don't feel that any anymore:D

Can't wait for the game tomorrow !!!!!!!

Ahh, you brought back memories for me (and not good ones)! I used to live in Caribou, ME. OMG, the snow. Unbelievable. I used to go to Bangor to escape.

20160123_120839.jpg I can't even tell how much we have. In some places I can still see the driveway peaking through, but my car has a waist high drift on the driver's side. We have 2 trees down. One across the driveway and one in the backyard but neither are ours, have no idea where they came from. The wind here is incredible. We are in NePA on top of a mountain. Here's a branch of the driveway tree peaking through a big drift. Grateful for the power still being on, and enjoying it while we have it!

Foothills of NC here. We had snow, then sleet, then snow, etc. and it was pretty windy. I'm thinking it's about anywhere from 6-10 inches but I haven't been out to measure. DS is gone four-wheeling with friends. DH & I are staying in!

ETA: This mess needs to go away. I just looked! We're down to 2 Oreos! :/

Sitting here on the Gulf Coast of Texas...a balmy 60 degrees and sun is shining. I can't even imagine what you guys are going through. I'm gonna say that I've only really been in snow two, maybe three times in my life. I've always said that I would like to live through a season or two of a real winter....But NOPE. Not after seeing your pictures. I'm getting old and I like the heat!! So cheers to ya'll being troopers and dealing with horrendous weather!!

Before I read what you wrote I was impressed you posted some sort of high tech storm map!

I was :magnify: trying to read it, lol.

We are in Central PA here and when it all started our forecast said a total of 1-3 inches. Then it changed to 3-5, and then again to 8-10. Hard to tell how much we ended up with -- maybe a foot?

My Corgi isn't thrilled either. I opened the back door for him this morning and he did this: image.jpeg

So, my DS is out there shoveling him a path off the deck and around the yard.

Kids are thrilled since it's the first real snow we've gotten all year.

Stay safe and warm everyone!

Checking in from Mercer County, NJ. Looks like we will be in "over 20 inch" range by storms end

We have a fire going, stew in the crockpot and bread in bread maker

Our ****zu has a little path dug out in backyard. He hates the snow so he only goes out when he REALLY needs to!

Hoping we don't lose power

Stay warm everyone!

Eastern PA (north of Philly, west of NYC):

This is the dog's first real snow. He has fun when he goes out... but it's hard to get him to actually go potty. We've got to have at least a foot at this point, and the snow isn't stopping anytime soon.

Other than that, I'm staying inside until late on Sunday. Church is already cancelled.

We are in south central PA and we have about 22 inches so far. It's crazy outside. We tried to shovel the driveway this morning but we can't stay on top of it.

We are in a suburb of Philly about 40 minutes from the city. We have a good 18-24" as of now and it's still coming down like crazy.
