Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I'm brand new to the Dland boards, but used to post on the Disboard years ago.
My husband, three friends, and I spent 2.5 days at Disneyland a month ago, and had an amazing time. Up until then, we had always gone to DisneyWorld, but I think that for the foreseeable future we'll be heading to Anaheim. I loved having a hotel right across the street (we stayed at the Tropicana Inn), and not having to do the long bus rides when we were tired at night. Probably in my top three weekends of all time.
We got annual passes, as we'll be back in Southern California at the end of August/beginning of September for work for my husband, and this time we're taking our kids for three days. I cannot WAIT to get back there. I'm not sure what it is about Disney that is so comforting and relaxing, but it's seriously the place when I'm able to de-stress the easiest.
We'll be celebrating my husband's birthday there in September - any suggestions of where we should get reservations for dinner or lunch? Our kids will be 7 and 10 by then, and it doesn't necessarily have to be character dining.
Mostly I just wanted to say hi. I'm going to be lurking on the boards like crazy over the next few months so that I can learn all of your tricks before we go back.
