To each his own - but in my opinion...he's classless and immature.
You said my thoughts just fine, Heather (you often do, LOL).

He does appeal to certain people, and in our society, that is fine, freedom to choose. Hopefully kids are supervised so as they don't have to be exposed to his (and many others on cable/satellite/ppv) base drivel. Folks like him laugh their way to the bank, as long as they have the customers, not unlike *****s, always a market.

Oh Mari, I'm with you and a few others who have voiced their opinions. I think the man in perverted. I too am glad I have XM and not Sirrus...wouldn't waste my money supporting him.

PS...for those of you would say take parental control unfortunately there are many children left to their own devices. Their parents don't care about them or what they do/see I feel tremendously sorry for these children who might actually watch Howard and then have no one to talk to them about it.

I listen to his show a lot. I don't agree with all of his views, but I find the show very entertaining. Someone brought up Wendy the Retard. Yes, the word retard is not PC. However, if you listened to the show on a regular basis, you will see that they are actually very sweet to Wendy. Frankly, I think being on Howard's show is wonderful for Wendy. She certainly loves it. Her mother finds nothing wrong with it, being that she is the one who actually drives her there.

One of my favorite bits on the show was when they played Wendy's phone message about the power being off. She was very mad at the power. She was without power for weeks due to the Florida hurricanes of last year. I hate being without the power for a few hours so I completely identified with Wendy's rage. :)

 Except what he is doing is not illegal unlike prostitution.

You compare comedy to prostitution? Howard is not my pimp.

That surely deserves a Tag, doesn't it? Where's the Tag Fairy when you need it!?!?

So instead your dollars are going to Opie & Anthony who are just as bad if not worse.

It's really simple. If you don't like Howard, DON'T watch him. If you don't want your kids watching him, block that channel, or make sure they're in bed before 10pm. If you don't want to listen to him AND you have Sirius, simply don't tune in to his channel. Howard isn't for everyone. Heck, I don't like sports - so I don't watch ESPN or listen to sports channels on my radio.I don't like Martha Stewart, but that doesn't mean I won't get Sirius because it would be "supporting" her. I like a dozen other channels on Sirius. It's really not hard to avoid things you don't want to watch or listen to.

actually..the Sirius have a block feature too...

I am not saying you have to like him...but what people should really be upset about is how the FCC wants to regulate what you listen to...Gov't isn't the solution to the problem, Gov't is the problem ~Ronald Regan

Exactly. The FCC is scaring me. :earseek:

I do not like Howard Sterns show. Its just not funny to me. BUT I do believe he is successful for a reason and that he has a right to be on TV. I as a parent moniter my kids TV shows and if I dont want to watch it. I dont

I agree with this quote so much. I dont want the FCC becoming worse then they already ARE

You know what offends me? Religious TV and radio shows. I cannot stand it when I'm channel surfing on Sunday morning and the only thing on is Church. And it bothers me when they interject religious music during commercials of tv shows I'm watching. I do not want to hear people spouting off about god and religion and sometimes hate. I want that off the air!

Yes, I could turn it off, but why should I have to? If all the Howard haters want him off the air because it offends them then I have every right to want religious radio off because it offends me.

Maybe you need to broaden your ocean and get cable or DirectTV. You'll have more channels to surf and I can assure you most of them aren't religious. And frankly, cheesy shows like "Walker, Texas Ranger" get on my nerves and make my skin crawl. But I choose to just flip the channel.

With all the hype with Howard Stern going to Satellite radio, I thought he wouldn't be on tv either. My husband asked me why I thought he would loose his tv contract too.

This guy is a slime ball-his show last nite had to be rated Triple X. And his side kick Robin-she is there to make us think what he does on his show is OK.

I'm not a prude-but I'm sure anyone's kids could have seen that last nite on the E Channel-ABC Family on my cable is the channel right next to it.

I am not a stern fan but believe people are entitled to watch, play or listen to whatever they please and there is a great invention that helps with this.

IT'S CALLED A REMOTE CONTROL. I can change the channel whenever something I don't like comes on.

Sorry Ohmari but I cannot share your thoughts. He may have some questionable content, but if it's late night TV maybe a parent should have control over the remote and they cna make sure what is seen and not seen.

When things change, and they will, the conservative media will be feeling the heat and their tune will change from "must give the FCC the power to clean up the media" to the less government "must clean up the FCC" argument.

I was being sarcastic; trying to make a point of how the "howard offends me so I want him off the air" argument sounds.
