OhMari said:I don't care anymore how many people have said they like this guy on the radio-I'm not talking about Satellite radio or any radio-his show on the E Channel is pornographic and he is a Slime Ball!
cardaway said:There is no porn on network television. No need to make things more than they are to make your point.
WatchinCaptKangaroo said:E is cable
To everyone who says Howard is porn and shouldn't be on TV at night.. have you watched HBO or Cinemax after 10pm? HBO has shows like "Real Sex" and Cinemax has the nickname Skinamax for a reason. Both stations show much worse than Howard.
OhMari said:With all the hype with Howard Stern going to Satellite radio, I thought he wouldn't be on tv either. My husband asked me why I thought he would loose his tv contract too.
This guy is a slime ball-his show last nite had to be rated Triple X. And his side kick Robin-she is there to make us think what he does on his show is OK.
I'm not a prude-but I'm sure anyone's kids could have seen that last nite on the E Channel-ABC Family on my cable is the channel right next to it.
cardaway said:E is still network television. They have to edit things just like ABC, NBC, CBS, etc.
HBO and Cinemax are pay television. Porn is allowed on pay television.
Shutterbug said:E channel is also pay television as well. You cannot simply put up an antenna on your house and receive it. You have to pay to get it.
Ever watch the comedy channel late on Saturday nights? They sometimes run movies unedited like the South Park movie plus the Pamela Anderson roast.
cardaway said:Cable is no longer the divider bewteen network and pay television. HBO is pay television.
Shutterbug said:And what about the partial nudity on shows like NYPD Blue. Actually that show showed more than anything I have scene on Howards show.
Shutterbug said:I bet you anything I dont pay my cable bill I will not be able to see the E channel.
cardaway said:Cable is no longer the divider bewteen network and pay television. HBO is pay television.
AND
You're probably right but that doesn't mean anything.
Shutterbug said:All I'm saying is I have seen shows that had more profanity and more nudity( hey nudity is nudity regardless if its male or female) than anything on Sterns show.
cardaway said:Give me some examples if you can. Personally I doubt you saw what you thought you saw unless it was a pay channel.
WatchinCaptKangaroo said:It means everything. You can still get TV for free from an Antenna. NBC, CBS, ABC, WB, FOX all come in for free. You have to pay to get E, HBO and Cinemax. You may have to pay more to get HBO and Cinemax but it doesn't change the fact that E is also pay TV.
WatchinCaptKangaroo said:Off the top of my head: Springer, Maury, Montel. Yes, it's blurred and bleeped (as it is on Stern TV). Frankly I'd be more concerned about my kids watching Jerry Springer and Maury Povitch then Stern.
cardaway said:Shutterbug said more than Stern. Obviously not the case given the blurs and bleeps.
