I just saw a rate on expedia for HoJo rooms for 89 - is this a good price - what is the discounted price that people get with the Entertainment Rate?

The entertainment rate may not be offered during your trip in which case the $89 rate is a good price. :) Make sure it is the hotel close to Disneyland.

It was the one right across the street. Does anyone know how to find out if the entertainment rate is available at a certain time? I'm looking at coming either Sept, Oct or Nov.

The dates on the website are updated pretty frequently so your dates may open up at a later date, which is a risk that you will have to take if you want to wait for it. Otherwise, it may be safer to book it through Expedia for $89.

Looks like they changed some of the June dates. When I looked at it the other day, there were a lot more days in June that had been added. Now they are not there.

I noticed they changed some of the June dates too...does that mean I won't get it on the days I originally thought I would? I booked for the 8th ET rate, but now it isn't listed...should I expect it to be more now?

If you booked and entertainment book price then you get that price even if your date disappered, they just closed the date so others can't get it.

Does that $89/night include taxes? If so, that's a good price, IMO, unless the Entertainment Rate is available for your stay. (If you are going in November you will have to pay probably full price for an Entertainment Book to get the card, but if you are going in October or September you should be able to get a card dirt cheap!)

We did better than $89/night in early December 2009 without the Entertainment Rate. But I just priced those out and the price for approximately the same dates is about $25/night more this year versus last. :confused3

If you're set on Hojo and you can't work your trip around the Entertainment rates, then I'd price out your rooms to make sure the hotel's website isn't similarly priced, and if Expedia's much cheaper, then probably just do Expedia now.

But if you're more flexible as to lodging, I think I'd probably book Hojo through their website AND if you find a cheaper hotel that you could live with, book that one too. Then if the Entertainment Rate comes up you can get it applied to your Hojo reservation and if not, you have a back-up.

No, that just means they've filled up those dates and they are no longer available. As long as you called in-house reservations while the dates were showing, you will recieve that rate.

$89 seems like a great deal. Otherwise, a standard room is $139 a night, and even the 15% Dis-board discount won't save as much. Since there is no guarantee that your dates will appear, presonally I would take the offer. Even if 2 of your 5 days appear on ET rate later, you would still come out better with a flat rate of $89 per night.

A standard room is one with a king bed, or over-sized double beds. They are not Disney view rooms, but are very nice. Premium rooms are those with Queen beds, etc. One the Hojo site (go to message board), they do little tours you can watch, showing the rooms. That might be helpful.

i need a card for October should i look to buy one new then or someone got one to sell?

An entertainment card? If you know you'll need it, I would go ahead and buy off the ent. card site. I bought my book from there for our area about two weeks ago for $10. They're good through Oct, so that will give you some time to use the coupons locally, and still take the card in October. One tip though- don't buy at Walgreens, etc. they will charge the full $35.

Can you book the ET rate through the website, or do you need to call the 714- number? When I plug in my dates on the website (dates that show an ET rate on the page that lists them), it comes up with a higher amount.

Thanks!

the quote i got on the phone was much cheaper than the one on the site.

You have to call in-house reservations to get the ET rate :)
