Okay, so we all know this. Stitch has messed with some of our kids and pretty much traumatized them into ever entering Disney again. But I provide some tips on how you can get your kids to enjoy the ride instead of fearing it.

Tip# 1: The Darkness

If you may or may not know, the pitch black scenes take up majority of the ride. Which you cannot escape the screams of fear of a child when you ride that. I know that when kids hear other kids scream, they get scared, which causes them to scream. What is best to do before you get on the ride is to tell them that it gets really dark and scary on the ride. And if they tell you they can handle it, just try to go with them and see what happens.

Tip #2: The Smell

Okay, we all know and heard that the chili dog scene is disgusting. And it is. Sometimes that smell will get to people if they are gaggy, and kids have a pretty big gag reflex. What you can do is if your kid can get there arms to touch there nose from the restraints that could help alot. Another option is tell them not to breathe from there nose. Once you hear the words ' my chili dog!' somewhere in the audience tell them to cover there nose.

Tip #3: Feeling Trapped

Those restraints are what gets the minority of kids scared. They give you that feeling of being trapped and you cant get out. Kind of like a roller coaster, when your going up the hill and you want to get off, but theres nothing you can do so you basically freak out. That what kids feel when they have those restraints on while everything is happening. Ask a CM if your child can sit on your lap while your riding, they will probaly say yes.

I will post more tips later.

I had hurt my back earlier in the day the day I "rode" this ride. So I really didn't want this harness pushing down on me (which it says out in the preshow area.)

so before the harness came down...i sat up very very tall...pushed my bum a few inches off the seat...so that when I actually sat down - the harness was not right on my shoulders.
