We didn't the Internet or gay characters on TV. We only had Uncle Aurther and Diva's!

If you liked this show, you probably ended up gay!:rotfl2:

It's Judy's show, and she is so trashed she almost falls over the set!:scared1:

Bab's is young, she hasn't even done Funny Girl yet!

And they pan the audience and its "The Merm!"

Quite some bantering, then a belt fest!

Gayer than Christmas at Macy's!:worship:

Wow! I didn't know Judy Garland had her own show! I showed it to one of my co-workers and he only recognized Barbara. He did say after a few minutes, "Isn't that the girl (GIRL!!!!) from Wizard of Oz?" LOL. He had no idea who Ethel was. Definitely not gay! LOL!

You do uncover some wild things OrlandoMike! Thanks!

Somehwere here on DVD, I have a copy of the Judy Garland Show with Bab's as Guest.

HILARIOUS to watch.. for all the wrong reasons.

A cable channel up here in Canada , "COOL-TV" ran the entire run of episodes for a while.. some of them quite good ... others ... "uh.. not so much".

...so, when did liking Judy Garland, and Ethel Merman make someone gay.

I know about Streisand..............

What do I tell my (almost) 11 year-old daughter, "You like 'The Wizard of Oz,' so that makes you gay?

Please, this is all VERY tongue-in-cheek!

...so, when did liking Judy Garland, and Ethel Merman make someone gay.

It's right in the training manual.

Page 26, paragraph four.

"Judy, Liza, Ethel, Bette......these are names I shan't forget":rotfl2:

...like I said, above, "I'm straight."

Where can I buy, borrow, peek at the manual?

LOL!!!!!!!!

Anyone got an extra training manual?

I think your safe without one, unless your 11 year old starts watching the Wizard of Oz while listening to Dark Side of the Moon, in which case we have to go to the back of the manual under "Emergency situations!" :lmao:

Thanks, Mike! I'll watch what she listens to during the Wizard of Oz.

If I have any concerns, I'll let you know!

So what does that manual have to say about 9 year old boys who want to be Peter Pan on DCL when they grow up? Oh, and the wicked fairy godfather when they get too old to play Peter anymore:lmao:

Uncle Arthur from Bewitched???

As for the manual...Maytag anyone?

(spin, spin)

PS.Mike: Tara agrees with you completely..she likes my spin too

That's the fruit fly in me. (aka *** hag)

I think it's funny that the people that I loved most on tv as a kid turned out to either be gay or a gay icon. I adored Paul Lynde and Lily Tomlin. I always wished that I could be as funny as they were/are.

Wait.. I am straight too.. just love hanging out with the fun people.......I actually, my claim to fame, saw Barbra in Funny Girl in Boston when it opened there back in the day... before we knew who she was..what year was that...60's? it was pre-marriage days and I have been married for 38 years.. yikes!

And Judy, I love Judy, my kids grew up listening to Judy at Carnegie Hall... clang, clang, clang went the trolley, ding, ding, ding went the bell, you know the rest. I remember her show on TV... I was a huge Judy fan.

Never cared for Merman....just could not do it when she sang there is no business like show business, it was like fingernails on the chalkboard for me.

Mike, you need to start marketing those manuals for the rest of us to read.....so we understand.. ;) :)

this thread is cracking me up.

When I was little, about 4 or 5, I had a crush on Anita Bryant. I don't know if it was the subtext of those orange juice commercials or what. My father even got an autographed picture of her for me at some CPA convention.
It is SOOOO Ironic now.

DUDE! That is so wrong! I used to do that all the time! It was the only way I could tolerate Judy and her gang.
