How would you split your stay?

If you were going for about 3 weeks, how would you split up your stay? I don't think I want to stay at more than two places, as I don't want the hassle of packing and unpacking that many times!
We don't have a huge budget. We will get the annual passes, and hopefully get the AP rates. The combinations I have considered so far are...

ASMO and Pop Century
ASMO/PC and FW Cabins
ASMO and PC with a few days at Vero Beach
ASMO/PC and Port Orleans

Please help me decide! Also, if you have any other ideas or suggestions, I'd appreciate hearing them!

FYI, we want to go in January of 2005, and my children will be 5 and 8. Also, my husband uses a wheelchair but can walk short distances. We homeschool, that's why we can go for an extended stay during the off-season.

Thanks in advance!

Disney's resort at Vero Beach is really nice! It would make for a nice break midway through your trip! There is not a whole lot to do at Vero Beach though, so I would only plan for several days there!:Pinkbounc

We do the extended stay thing too! Its really great. I like to split it up too, 1 place that long really looses its luster (even the gf-did!). The way I split is first pick where you want to stay, and can afford, and how many days you want to spend at where. Now the hard part. If you save the "desert" for last you keep wishing you where there, if you go there first, you compare the second place to it, and if its 3 you wonder did I move too much? Its a great big headache! We usually save the desert and try not to think about it. ;) BUT this year I want to do the 3. stay disney for a week and 1/2, then do a beach condo maybe vero beach or don cesar beach suites in st. pete., for a few days to rest and do esential laundry etc.. catch up then return to disney and finish up our time there. The last few times we did universal in the middle for a break, so this will be different. I have even considered renting one of the vacation homes you see on the boards with pools etc... for the break, something different / relaxing.

Have a great time, MKY princess:
