We are from NYC and would NEVER leave a wallet in our car. We have had our car stolen in the past, some habits don't change. The beach is a 30 mile drive and we go to the grocery and liquor store on the way home. That is why we carry our credit card. I'm really kind of surprised that I have to defend myself to other women about this issue.
You don't need to defend yourself. I wasn't saying that you were wrong, just something that I personally wouldn't see the need to do, even if I were planning on stopping at the store after the day on the beach. If you want to have your wallet & or credit card, or anything else on the beach, go for it! Your stuff, your decision.
