How would you improve your Disney resort experience?

Consequences for rule breakers.

Someone is smoking on their balcony? Help them pack their bags. Caught cutting the line? Good bye. Using their mug to fill the family's coffee cups? Out you go.

It wouldn't cost a dime.
I’ve called about someone smoking on balcony near me. Also a family that pulled out room chairs to the walkway at a moderate and sat out all the time smoking. I wondered if they ever went to the parks. Both times problem solved swiftly. As long as the problem is delt with I’m good.

A place to have a sit down breakfast that does not require a reservation. It is so strange to me that you can be paying $700 a night for a room and still not be able to walk into a restaurant at your resort for breakfast without an ADR. Actually, I think the whole deluxe experience is sorely lacking.

Agree with us 100%, all around the parks for that matter. Back in mid/late 80s and even to early 90s you didn't have to have an ADR for most places. We'd get to MK with my parents in the AM, my dad would walk up to CP and say what do you have open for dinner and they'd add us for dinner time. It was a lot different but I suppose as the parks get more crowded, so do the restaurants. As far as resorts go, perhaps and idea could be from 6am-10am it's resort guests only for breakfast and if every resort with table seating did this, it would force those guests to eat at their restaurant only or a park I suppose.

Microwaves are being implemented in most Marriotts as far as I know...it seems to be becoming a standard. Would it kill Disney to put a small kitchenette in each room? As it is, I'm a little disgusted that there's no coffee maker in the Mermaid rooms....even if I didn't want to use it, that's a cheap move for a never discounted room.

We are big budget stretchers when it comes to food so we bring most of our own food for breakfast. When we have stayed at the resorts with no micro we bring instant oats and use the coffee maker for hot water and the rest requires no heating. I didn't know the LM rooms had no coffee maker, that's got to change bc that's insane. I'd lose my mind if we didn't have a coffee maker. There are a fair amount of rooms with kitchenettes at disney in the villa category. I've only stayed at a few but with DVC point rentals, some of the deluxe villas come out the same as moderates. We never really used any of those amenities since I realized when we're on our trips, I don't want to have to do too much kitchen work since that's what I always do but I get it, it's nice to have a suite when on vacation for some. Definitely check the deluxe villas, rack rates are usually high but point rental on some are very reasonable.

1) Resort Specific Merchandise - I found this to vary quite a bit depending on the resort. We ate at WL last trip and I was so jealous at the fairly big selection there compared to the tiny rack of what was basically cups and pins at the Contemporary.

2) For the monorail resorts, the IMO frustrating journey to Epcot. I know it would probably require some sort of construction to fix, but going through security twice (especially when the lines at the front of Epcot are quite long at times) is really frustrating on top of the monorail transferring you already have to do. As much as a monorail lover I am, I would almost be happy with them adding an Epcot bus at this point.

3) Better QS options in the Epcot resort area. They still kind of suck.

4) Fix EMH - I always thought it would be nice (although not realistic at all, because of the extra money it would cost them) if they had more than one park open a day for EMH to lessen the crowds a bit. Especially since the hours are so more shorter than they once were.

5) Better incentives for staying onsite, the most obvious being some sort of FP perk.

6) PhotoPass photographers hanging around the iconic resorts. We actually found one at GF our past trip which I had never personally seen before.
