How will you say 2010?

Twenty-ten.

Definite twenty-ten for me.

In 2009, it was two thousand nine.

But I just think, either twenty or two thousand sound fine in the teens but when we get up to the 20s and so on I think it sound silly to say "two thousand twenty-three" and "two thousand one hundred forty-nine" opposed to "twenty twenty-three" and "twenty-one forty-nine".

I'll probably waffle between 20-10 and "two thousand ten" as long as I don't say "20 "oh" 10" we are good.

DH heard a car ad with that in it and it drove him bonkers.

How do you say 1809, 1909, 1910, 1920, etc. I don't think anyone uses 18 hundred and.., 19 hundred and .., etc. We just say 18 or 19, so why not 20?

twenty ten for me. Yes, I said 2 thousand and 1,2,3,4, or '01, '02, '03, etc., but this is different. Me thinks it's the year of conversion!

I'm watching the "Today" right now and Meredith Viera just said Twenty Ten.

As I said in an earlier post, I've been saying two thousand ten, but twenty ten might grow on me.

Should I be engaged in casual conversation, I will simply refer to it as two thousand to the tenth year. Should I be in a much more formal setting, such as having tea and crumpets with the Agatha Christie Book Club, I shall refer to it as "the first decade of the millenia of two thousand".
