How wet do you get on Splash Mountain?

As we will be at the park in January, we just wondered how likely it is we would get wet, and how wet--just a splash or more?

If I recall, their setup is exactly the same as the Magic Kingdom version. Most of the splash does come from water cannons, and they will tamp that down if it is cooler out. Of course, there is always the possibility of a natural splash. I do not remember getting really soaked when I was TDL.

I only got a little splash in the face, wasn’t bad at all. Might also depend on where you’re sitting of course.

We just rode in first and second row and had taken ponchos, but we don't think we even needed them. The splash was very very minimal in our opinion - less than WDW even. But it sounds like others have had different experiences, so maybe we were lucky.

You usually don't get as wet on Splash Mountain in Tokyo as the former Splash Mountains in the US. Tokyo turns up the water in the summer so it's possible to get quite wet sitting in the front during those months.

For January, you likely wouldn't get too wet from splashes but there's a couple parts where water can leak over the sides of the boat and get your feet quite wet depending on the weight of your log.

I rode on a chilly day (November 6) and it seems as if the splash effect was turned down so my face only got a few droplets of water
