How welcoming/friendly is DLP?

I'm planning a trip next fall (Sept '16) with some gal pals and wondering what the acceptance/comfort level is in DLP, or the rest of northern France for that matter.

I haven't been to DLP since 2000. However, when I visited I found everyone to be accepting and felt very comfortable. I even had dinner with a someone I met in the park. I stayed mostly in the Paris metro area and never felt awkward or unsafe.

As a gay man, you'll be fine. As an American however ... :rolleyes1

Thankfully I spend enough time in Ontario, that I can sound like a native Canadian. And no, that doesn't mean adding "eh" to the end of every sentence. However, it does mean adding the superfluous "u" and inverting "-er" to "-re".:upsidedow

I personally live in Paris and I pretty much agree with what was said previously. Paris being a city filled with gays (more than in any other French city) parisians are used to living with them so they don't really pay attention, and that tolerance is all the more widespread as same-sex marriage was legalized.
At DLP, some tourists might stare at you if you act overly sissy but nothing more. However I advise you not to be too demonstrative if you go there using the RER (that train which enables you to reach DLP in 35-45 minutes depending on where you catch it in Paris), as it stops at several suburban stations where gays are not really welcome...
