How was the week before Christmas?

I am considering the week before Christmas next year. If you have been at that time, how are the crowds? Are reservations pretty easy to come by or difficult at 7months? We will probably reservation a tree house nut may consider switching to a 1br at another resort.

We were in WDW the week before Christmas in 2008 and this year also. I found this year to be much more crowded. I believe they offered free dining and that might have had something to do with it. We were going to go back next year at this time, but have decided to not go.

I was able to get a 1-bedroom at VWL at the 7-month window for the week before Christmas this past year. The crowds were not too bad if you get to the parks at rope drop and ride as much as you can til around noon or 1pm, we would then leave and go back to resort to rest for a while before coming back in the evening.

I always got the week before Christmas .. It was a little more crowded than normal BUT nothing that was un managable.. only thing that was more memorable than the lines, was the lack decorations.. every year seems they cut back more !! HAVE FUN !

I think that is my biggest disappointment, the lack of decorations. Not near as many as there used to be. Oh well, better than being at home, kind of. In 2008 we went the week before, 2009 the week after Christmas (a mad house, of course) and 2010 the week before again. I think I just want to stay home around the holidays next year. I felt homesick a bit this year...

I agree too. We also noticed the lack of decorations.
