How To Wear Boots

Okay pardon my fashion ignorance on this one. I usually am considered one of the more "fashionable" people in my social circles. I bought a pair of those really cute eskimoo type boots. How on in the world do you wear these. Or are they too young (I'm 30) and I need to return them. I cannot figure it out. If you just wear them under pants- well then whats the point. I'm not a huge fan of tucking my pants into them because they look really bulky then. They are mid-low calf height. Thank you.

Are they the UGG type boots? Some people weare them over their jeans here, or even with shorts and skirts. I mostly see them worn under the jeans.

I see lots of girls on campus with these and they all tuck their jeans in. I think that htey are cute, but even I feel too old for them (25). I'm probably not, but I wouldnt' wear them because I'd feel funny. I just think that they are for younger girls.

I looked at getting a pair extensively last winter and came to the same conclusion you are arriving at.

Won't work well under pants so you have to tuck the leg of the jeans into them. Which then works the same as capri pants - makes your rear look huge and you look shorter than you really are. (this is because the eskimo boot -unlike other boots- has no high heel)

So perhaps the only thing I could see to do with them is a skirt coming in at mid thigh, a pair of tights or leggings (it's winter) and then the boots.
Which looks great if you are a teenager but over 30 is sort of pushing it.

ok - the skirt and "ugg" or "eskimo" boot thing is kinda done...unless you are a teen.
of course - a skirt with patterened tights and high leather boots is still very in for us ladies over 22.

with pants - tuck away if you want...but invest in 'skinny jean's...or tapered jeans. I know ACK! no one wears tapered jeans! those are MOM JEANS! (heheheh). but if they are concealed under boots - totally fine.

I, personally, refuse to "tuck". I wear my jeans over my uggs.

I either wear my jeans out over them or I cuff my pants (so they look like long-ish capris). I personally wear mine cause they're comfy not cause they make a fashion statement so I guess I don't really care what it looks like

oh and I don't think you're too old to be wearing them!

Women, (old & young) are wearing the eskimo type boots all over the city with their pants either tucked in or cuffed up.

Since 40 is the new 30, I'm sticking with 30 is the new 20 so I'm wearing my Uggs and baby doll dress tops that I didn't have the confidence to wear at 20!

You are not too old. My mom wears a pair of pink ones all the time.

I usually see girls wearing them with their pants tucked into the boot. Personally I would feel weird doing that. But hey, I'm a sneakers kinda gal.
