How to use fp+ without magic bands?

My niece is going with a a large group end of may. She does not think that they are using magic bands, if this is the case how does she go about making her fp+ reservations? Can they only do it in the park,day of at the kios? She can just go ahead and set up an account on mt disney experience right?
Sorry for the basic questions but I have never really thought about this scenario as it would not apply to my family. Trying to help them het all set up for there senior trip! Thanks for any tips

As long as you have a normal ticket with RFID, you can add it to your account on MDE whenever you want. The ticket works just like the magic band, it's just not as tacky.
